I was looking at the development board of next version of phpBB when I saw this announcement.

It talks about phpBB 2.2 (phpBB 2.1 is the version for development and 2.2 will be the official release). It will include a feature that allows you to message Jabber users directly via phpBB.

They thank Carlo Zottmann for his development of the PHP Jabber class.

If I'm right, he is [:caz], the creator of the WPA in the old days before Infoxicated took charge of the WO community.

The syntax of the name is correct, and according to what was caz working on, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's him.
