Hey pilots this is KronicReaper here, can I asked one question? What new military FPS game are you getting in November, Call of Duty: Ghost or Battlefield 4?

That's not answer I'm looking for, but the Killzone series is why better sci-fi FPS than Halo. HANDS DOWN.

Probably neither. If I could play them for free I'd pick Battlefield 4, but I'd much rather play Halo 3 any day. Reach and Halo 4 not so much. They became too much like CoD which I'm not into. Halo 3 is my favorite FPS by far, though Hawken is pretty good for a change of pace. Killzone looks good but my PS3 has been broken for a while now and I'm just going to get a PS4 instead of having it repaired.

To be clear I'm only talking about multiplayer though. Singleplayer FPS campaigns are all way too boring for me besides FarCry 3. That game was legit just because you could go do random things in a huge world. Crysis, Halo, Battlefield, and CoD singleplayer all becomes dull way too quickly. I'd rather play an RPG or do some SL in WipEout if I want a solo experience.

I'm getting Battlefield 4, but only on PC (maybe another for PS4 in the future with all DLC content in disk) at least I'm the first here to give a chosen answer to your post. As for CoD Ghost, it doesn't really interest me comparing to BF4, It still looks kind of the same as other CoDs, despite their new engine & version of levolution. Sure BF4 still looks and feels the same as BF3 on PS3 console, but at least on PC with more players, larger map space and better graphics, it feels very new to me. (I do know PS4 will have same capabilities as PC, but I need a new PC, and PS4 isn't grabbing my interest or the games at the moment. It's one or the other, I can't get both right now.) I did Get CoD Bo2 also, but after prestiging & maxing out on rank and getting all weapon mastery, I got bored of it and went back to BF3. Again same thing, maxed out rank, mastered all weapons and got every single medal. A new PC is what I need if I'm getting BF4 for that platform, unlike the one I'm using here.

Don't buy the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 because of the bad controls of the Xbox One controller. Video comes from Icy Rhythms channel on Youtube.

PC version of BF4. You can take down freaking sky scrapers (among using other interactables to kill enemies). Imagine how much mayhem you can cause online!

Playing Battlefield 4 on PC now. I started playing BF3 a few weeks before it came out and realized I love the strategic and cooperative elements of the game. I'll play COD's on free weekends and get bored of them before sunday. I can't stop playing Battlefield.

Just make sure you have a decent i5 processor or better if you want a smooth 60fps.

Pico, don't forget you also need a GTX graphics card if you're going play smoothly as well, and on med-high settings.

I tried both and CoD seemed like the same of repetitive gameplay and concept. The multiplayer's new modes were cool but other than that, everything else was dreadfully boring. The story was crap too. And that dog thing just seems like a gimmick. I know they were trying something new but that ain't enough, y'know? Battlefield 4, despite having the usual military FPS type narrative, it felt more....idk, enjoyable. It was also a bit the same as the previous versions with regards to gameplay but somehow I enjoyed it (and am still enjoying) BF4 waaaay more than CoD. Also, CoD had like a freaking 50GB install. BF4 had like at least 5 times better graphics than Ghosts and yet it was only like (from memory right now) about 23 GB. So why the ridiculously big install size? Weird.

Neither. Not very interested in that genre. Maybe Ghosts if my brother gets it.

If I get either, it'll be Battlefield 4 on PC. CoD has just moved so far away from what I loved about the old WW2 games it's just irrelevant to me now.

I won't be getting Ghosts. It's the same old recycled crap that's milked each year. But alas, the sheep will still buy it so my point is moot. :p

CoD has never been on my radar, but I quite liked BF3... unfortunately, after playing the beta and reading/watching gameplay from BF4, it's rather apparent that Dice have screwed the game up massively. They've made everything easier, simplified at the cost of diversity in gameplay and strategy, or outright idiot-proof. Playing as infantry has been made much more simple in every important regard, and the classes have far more tools available. Apparently a new weapon for support is basically a man-portable TV missile that can 1-shot helis - will be lovely seeing 20 of those flying around the map at once. The remaining bastions of skill-focused gameplay have been cut very far back and struck down with enforced tedium in order to prevent skilled players from making noobs rage as much as they did in BF3. Except for the scout chopper, that's been buffed like crazy for some reason.

Basically, it uses WipEout 2048's approach to game design: alienate your best players and dumb down/muddy the core experience with unskilled nonsense in order to make the game as accessible as possible. Really can't see any redeemable features in the game at all at this point. And of course, nobody at all should even buy the game in its current state: on consoles and PC, the game is plagued with client and server crashes, bugs, inconsistent netcode, and more crashes.

Sorry to double post, but thought I'd share. This stuff was so easy to see coming and it's so incredibly broken.

I hope to get BF4 on PS3 at Christmas. Then I can use the PSN PC store to take advantage of that discounted upgrade offer.
