Hey everyone!
Last 3 months I have been working on my graduation project for Game Art and since it's heavily Wipeout inspired I thought I'd stop by here again.
I was supposed to do some work on Slipstream GX but got caught up in work for a year and now this, so my apologies for that.
Anyway, off to the project I've been working on lately, it's going to be a demo of a racing game, with 1 car, 1 track and a time attack mode.
Though there will be added ''replay value'' with the car being avaiable in 4 liveries (with each handling a bit differently) and the track being playable from point A to B and vice versa, you can also choose to drive at day or night.
Gameplay wise this is heavily inspired by the Trackmania series with the time attack mode, the point is to get from A to B as fast as possible, the current time will be displayed and you will see if you are driving faster or slower (and by how much) at each checkpoint. The game will feature an offline leaderboard as well to keep track of the fastest times.
The visuals and styles are very much inspired by the Wipeout series, with a modern look and bright colours. The vehicle leans that way as well apart from having wheels.
It's built in Unity 4 and will be put online for free in a bit more then a month.
Here are 2 teaser screenshots, but expect some more and maybe some video in the coming weeks ;)
