Sony's PSX will have a built-in DVD recorder, built-in TV tuner, a 120 GB hard drive and apparently broadband net access:

Now my question: I regularly call the Playstation a 'PSX', and Playstation 2 a 'PS2'. So shouldn't this new system be called 'PSXX'?

If you only use it to watch and record porn you could call it a PSXXX.

/worst joke ever/

*thinks of moderating himself and being selfbanned*

i must admit that i thought of the triple-x one, too, but..... something made me not say it. it must have been some 'external' power cos i don't usually show such restraint in making such remarks. you just weren't so lucky today. ;) :D

moderators in need of moderation. oh my. but remember the people of Shangri-La in Lost Horizon; they were moderate even about moderation. an occasional excess is good

To begin with, I've never known what does the X in PSX stand for.

On a side note, having an avatar really makes short posts look bad (text-wise that is).

[xE:k]:

When the PlayStation was still in development, it was code-named the PSX: Play Station X-perimental).

sounds like something Apple should do. a bit like combining iPod with their old Pippin games/multi-media machine with DVD recorder instead of a VCD player. hmm... maybe there would be a slot for plugging an independent iPod into the main box.... [wanders off into imagination]
