I was/am terribly bored this evening and sitting at home (exciting Friday nights in Medusaland), reading the news which began to irritate me with its bad grammar, poor/non-existent references, and blanketing, completely partial statements until I finally typed the word "yawn" into the search bar, and this fascinating page came up. I was a little disgruntled to see that mere pics of people yawning made me yawn, but the stuff in these pages is absolute gold.
One highlight: "...the first behavioural evidence that yawn infectiveness can be a form of emotional contagion." Emotional contagion, ya hear?!!

If anyone out there is as bored as I and finds this mildly to somewhat interesting, feel free to add your thoughts and maybe anything else related to the almighty yawn that you may know.

I've noticed that I don't do the empathy yawn when my workmates yawn, but almost always do when friends or family do. Never thought too much about it other than noticing its peculiarity, until these articles.
