Wipeout 2097 PC - Black Screen even after Patched on Windows 7

I installed from the CD version (so I think putting it to C:\wobble isn't too necessary...?), applied the speedfix patch, but it freezes/black screens after the graphics/sound config menu. Tried compatibility modes and still no good.

Any solution? :|

I have the same problem. Just a question: do you have an nvidia card? If so, I'm sure that their drivers are the problem... The last one just broke the game completely.

did you try using the original wipeout2.exe? the speed patch crashes randomly.
