pretty even results here ^_^not surprised really 3 different styles I gotta say I really like them all.

I also like all three of them.
Oryx' one is kept pretty simple in my opinion, it's the clearest way to display all the important information.
Xpands one has that futuristic touch with these thin lines and that font. I like the change of color in danger mode, that's a cool idea. But for now I have no idea how big it is on the screen, it shouldn't fill up more than 1/4 of it I think. Also it feels strange to read the tachometer on the top of the screen instead of the bottom. Maybe replace that information with something else [distance from next position, score, stuff like that...]?
Zeros one looks pretty nice, too. But maybe brighten up the color of lap number and position, it's a bit hard to read. Also I think it would look better if the top part has an invisible background instead of the grey squares, like the bottom part.
It's pretty hard to choose since all of them are nice huds. After all I chose Xpand's one because I like to idea of the danger mode. Fits perfect with the hud design itself!

That is not my final design. It came out large because of me being so used to airplane huds. I can make it much smaller....

ah good point xpand I think it should be mentioned that none of the designs are final they are simply concepts to be improved upon

Hard choice... but if you use Xpand's for internal, Oryx and Zero's for external... (and remember those 2 other values ;)) That would be the best...

Aw man... missed the poll.
I like Xpand's HUD the most.
Btw, I have a suggestion. While I like my readouts in metric, some people don't. I think you should give players the option to view either Miles per Hour, Kilometers per Hour, or Meters per Second*.

These aren't the late 60s. And before you mention that there are more than one 60s, I am specifically referring to the one in the 20th century.

*In some countries, the speed limit is 100 m/s, which is totally insane. That is the equivalent of 223.6936292054402 miles per hour. Imagine a school bus traveling that fast!

Yeah, they look great!
Xpand HUD looks the best IMO - Kinda reminds of the HUD in pulse.
I Hope you Don't Mind , but I have been doing a little Photoshop work Myself.

I like your HUD, it reminds me of 2097
But the LCD weapon indicator needs to be more complex (make it an LCD hexagon). It is too hard to tell what weapon you got with the 2097/ WipEout 64 HUD.
Also, maybe you should give players the option to switch between mph, kph, and m/s
Finally, there should be something in the center of the screen that players can use as a central focal point (to prevent them from getting motion sickness). Perhaps if you added a second cursor that floated on top of said focal point, and then tracked the second cursor to the ship's rotation, you could have something that told you where you were aiming/facing.

If you guys could combine the lap times/ lap numbers/ speed figures of Oryx's/zero's HUDs with the design of Xpand's, that would one complete KICKASS display.
I haven't been following your project at all, sorry guys, just saw these HUDs and wow. Great work all!

yeah rdmx's hud will likely be the standard hud but we have talked about including all the different huds in the game possibly as unlockables

Maybe not all HUDs since 5 HUDs might be a little too much but the general idea of unlockabled is great!
