Hey all. I've been playing WipEout since 1995 - it (along with ALIEN Trilogy) were the reasons I bought a PSX back in the day. ...And I still have the original game. I've been a fan of the franchise since before it was a franchise. ;) I've played every installment except Pure... and 2048 - but the latter will be remedied in the not too distant future when I pick-up a Vita.
I've made a Playlist on my iPod of my favorite classic WipEout tunes from WipEout through WipEout 3, and that playlist is also on my PS3 and serves as the soundtrack for WipEout HD/Fury.
I also created a font back in the late 90's based on the typeface used on the game case of the first WipEout (you can download it here: http://www.dafont.com/mike-lynch.d1324). It's called SilverStream. And yes that's me. My name is Mike Lynch. I'm a graphic designer by trade (my website is http://www.boxfullofsky.com) I started a font based on WipEout HD (which is basically the same as the title font used for Pulse), but I haven't finished it yet.
Since the question will likely arise: WipEout Fury is my favorite of the games in the series, but WipEout XL still holds a special place in my heart. I still have the original game, and still pop it it and play from time to time. Prior to HD it was my favorite of the WipEout games. And even though the graphics are heavily outdated its gameplay is still fantastic.
