DLC ideas for Wipoeout HD

I think that the WipeOut team should recreate the old teams and tracks from past WipeOut games...
TEAMS
e.g. Tigron, G-Tec and Van-Uber
TRACKS
e.g. Cubiss Float, Platinum Rush, De Konstruct, Blue Ridge
...this sort of thing would be awesome!

WipEout HD will be 3 years old the next month ! It's very long for a little remixed PSN game.

Game Modes

Chase:
One-on-one race against either a computer opponent or an online competitor. One pilot is given a headstart of two and a half seconds and the second must catch him as fast as possible. A 'best of three' approach is taken to determine the better pilot of the two.

Hot Pursuit:
Seven pilots are given five seconds penalty and ordered to bring an eighth pilot down. The seven win if they can eliminate the rogue pilot, and if the rogue pilot completes the race distance without being eliminated, they win.

Most Wanted:
In the style of an eliminator, all eight pilots are given another pilot they are under obligation to eliminate. An elimination on your 'rival' awards you +40 points as opposed to the usual +20. The more points you have, the more pilots you become the target of (in the style of the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer)

Time Attack:
In the style of a multiplayer Time Trial - all pilots are given a single boost per lap and the winner is the one with the fastest lap at the end of the 7-lap event. The other pilots however count as solid rather than ghosts...

My idea would be to have all four classes on the track at once, and kind of race Le Mans style, have battles within battles, and make it more challenging because not only do you have to worry about your class, you have to worry about passing/getting passed by other classes.

I would really love to see a skin editor like pulse's. Preferably within the game for the sake of convenience. And just like pulse you would be able to download other people's skins and use them, only with more than 5 skin slots this time :|

Obviously never going to happen, but I'd love cross country style races. A few nice long courses that go from A to B that last 7 - 10 minutes or so. Lots of potential for different scenery too if they take it outside the cities, through mountain ranges, waterfalls, valleys, jungles, deserts, etc... instead of the same old usual cityscapes.

All of these sound like great ideas.. how would team races work? Non-friendly fire and such? Sounds interesting nevertheless :+

For team races you could choose a team color for your team (red, blue, etc.) and your ships would be that color. Friendly fire could be optional I suppose.

As for if there is any DLC in the works, I doubt it :(

I'd be all for a DLC that allowed more ship customization and upgrades. But then that might not work as a DLC in general. Too many changes to the game might have to be made if they did it.

3 classic tracks (Korodera, Gare D' Europa and Manor Top for example)

We're good with the teams i think.

A few new songs for the OST (Drum n' Bass, Breaks, Trance...)

Would be nice.

But now i'm more into 2048 tracks for making the best cross-platform online gaming possible. Everybody having the same tracks.
