general info to run wipeout 2097

Hi! I tried to run w but doesn't work on xp and 7 64bit. I downloaded slowdown patc but nothing. Any suggestion?
Is this the only version for pc? Is there any tweak or patch to run under 7 ultimate 64 or xp sp3?

it plays fine for me with xp home and windows 7 (32bit versions)
the cd i used was labled "WO2097D3D"
what point does it fail? installation? launching?
