The most important thing for us WipEout fans are the following bits in bold, from the Sony blog:

He is going to show "part of many titles currently being developed"

franchises shown: Hot Shots Golf, Gravity Daze, Killzone, Reality Fighters, Smart As, Broken, LBP, Little Deviants, WipEout, Resistance, and Uncharted (!)
But yes, this is looking like an impressive piece of hardware for such a small device.

The powerful hardware will be complemented with AAA titles like a brand new Call of Duty, Killzone, Uncharted and Resistance. The Monster Hunter series, which practically (Monster Hunter Portable 3) propelled the sales of the PSP console in Japan, will be back with Monster Hunter Portable 3. Here is the complete list of games slated to hit the NGP when it releases by the end of the year.
* Uncharted
* Resistance
* Killzone
* Call of Duty
* Monster Hunter Portable 3
* LittleBigPlanet
* WipEout
* Dynasty Warriors
* Reality Fighters
* Gravity Daze
* Little Deviants
* Smart As
* Broken
* Hot Shots Golf
In addition to these confirmed impending releases, the event was also marked by tech demos of already released titles on the NGP. That may not confirm a release for the upcoming portable console, but that does show that the developers are working on getting their engines running on the NGP. That can translate into the same games ported to the NGP or even new IPs using the same game engines.
The most promising of the lot seems to be Epic Citadel tech demo from Epic games, which uses the Unreal Engine 3 - the same one used in the stunning Infinity Blade for the iOS. The scope of what that engine can achieve on the quad core CPU and GPU goodness of the NGP is truly, well, epic. Here's a list of the tech demos unveiled at the event.
* Epic Citadel by Epic Games
* Metal Gear Solid 4
* Lost Planet 2
* Yakuza 4
* Dungeon Defenders
