Doesn't seem like there will be a huge amount of interest. I think once the HD cup is over, or nearing completion, you would be better off gauging interest. A lot of people will not really have the time for two at once.
Whatever you do I think it would be good to give a basic concept and then open it to suggestions. Some people just create a random competition without seeing what others want to do and that never seems to work out.
