This is great news! Though right now the research goes more into the understanding of our universe,
which is good. I'm just thinking of the possibilities of potential advances in technologies such as:
fuel, electricity and propulsion engines among other.

Alan Boyle writes: After years of effort, scientists have confirmed that they've corralled individual atoms of antimatter. (http://www.buzzbox.com/top/default/preview/antimatter-atoms-caught-at-last/?clusterId=2472383&id=14378957&topic=antimatter:science)

I wish I had something good to say about this, but I haven't had the chance to read about the true significance of it yet. Does it mean anything at the moment, or is it more that some day it could totally change our lives? Whatever the significance, it sounds interesting, so hopefully I will find the time to read more about it soon.

The machine in that picture from the first link looks like something out of a Matrix film.
