Ah, I see what you mean. But they do squeeze every ounce out of that sackboy, don't they? Every single thing has some kind of tie-in with LBP. From a business perspective I wonder if that is due to effort by Sony or Media Molecule.

@AG-wolf: Not sure about now, but the theme was free on the UK PSN.

@JFthebestJan: Well, yeah, if they're just going to copy and paste the icons from the game into an avatar template, that is probably what they are worth. If they take some time with it, and do something creative, like maybe add a specular glow here and there, or apply a gaussian filter, then I may pay a dollar.

However, I'm not sure that 0.25 will be worth it for them simply in terms of covering the costs of the payment gateway, but then again I'm not privy to any knowledge on that.

this is something i thought myself in the past...
nice idea but i dont see it coming...
the reason? Sony is is lazy. really sometimes you think they just dont want to make a profit!(except accessories-ps2 multitap,ps3 hdmi anyone? lol)
1)think about how many ps1 classic games still arent up to playstation store...
2)they made avatars for lbp(one of the popular games) so i doubt they would bother make wipeout avatars...its so simple but they just dont care.
3)one other thing they could do and make a fortune is charging lets say 5 euro to change your ps id... i smell cash here but sony dont...

i am a loyal Sony customer but sometimes their marketing just sucks...
