Well the "Kids" have their HD music thread.

I just thought I'd post links to "Classic" Tracks that others might of forgotten about.

You have to be a old fart,and the tracks or the band that have made them have to be 20 years old or over to meet the requirements to be included and to qualify for this thread.

I'll start it out with something so repetitive even the young ones will enjoy it.

The reason I chose this one is because, well, I was barely a teen and quite a rebellious prat, who liked the idea of fukkin' wit da police....

Later on, in my 20's, I got into The Police, and liked the band enough to buy anything they ever released... Kinda an ironic pun, it was NWA who rapped "**** Tha Police" :D ... (that was lame, sorry)

Yeah, but everyone knows The Smiths already. It was made that long ago but isn't really a lost classic or anything that folks my age are unlikely to have heard or heard of. Plenty of younguns will have The Smiths in their music collections, so even though their music was made that long ago, it's kind of still current.

Plus, yeldar's a wee baby so I have to wind him up.;)

My favourite music that fits into this thread is Schubert`s Trout Quintet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19KTMFZySC4). The section at 3.49 is just the most amazing piano I have ever heard, and they almost play it like jazz..... incredible stuff. But the whole piece and not just that part is incredible music. It`s very emotional and also proves that music can be funny. I love Schubert and think he wrote the best tunes ever, he just channelled music and it was a terrible shame he didn`t see 40 himself.

I like some Jazz too, and Miles Davis is probably my favourite, and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPq47C3WwRQ) is probably the coolest jazz that I know of, impeccable. :D

I, at the current age of 13, decide to check out this thread for maybe a laugh or two, and I find Stupidly Happy, the most listened to song on my iPod, in the first post. Then I realize that about half the songs on my iPod are from the 90's or older.

Yeldar next time you beat a TT PB [obviously full of BR's as would be your want] May I suggest Chopin Nocturne No 2 in E flat major by Maria Joao Pires [my favorite version] as I think it would be a sublime accompaniment to such a video, especially if you slowed part of the video down to match the music.:)

Well I'm not sure if George Castanza from Sienfield changed occupations from either "Marine Biologist " or "Architect" to Organist .

Either way,the Sydney Town Hall & Atlantic City organs are the only ones that have the 64ft pipes needed to play this Fugue .

I got that track on an old tape : funnily enough i was recording FM radio at that time ( 12 years ago), mostly on friday evening or saturday there was a DJ invited to mix some cool electro : the one who mixed that track named Jean Marie K , when he said the name of the artist at the end from his mix i did understood ' Gary Cole Gerald' and thought wow interesting name for an artist and tried to find it through Cd but never found it... :D
