I just watched the Gametrailers review of Super Street Fighter 4. I'm horrible at fighting games, but even I wanna get it now. That and modnation racers (May 25) are looking to bring me back to my PS3.
Addition:
Added IDReaper, although I don't have L4D2

EVERYONE should play god of war 3.
Ive never played a game with such an epic beginning. Or anything so brutal!!
An example of its brutality - is having to click in both analogue sticks to poke someones eyes out,l then tap l1 and r1 repeatidly to tear someones head from their shoulders with your bare hands!! :g
The action going on around you is incredible.

I sadly must wait until I have the space bux required to get my own PS3 again until I can crack back on with the GOW3 continue rinsing sessions. My friend got it just before he left for Baku and we were loving the hard as nails difficulty, about 20-30 continues for Hades alone lol.
Sadly we did not finish the game before he left so we did not unlock Titan diff, but I eagerly look forward to it.
Very much one of my favourite franchises. There's always a good level of consistency in the quality of the series. No nonsense, balls to the walls mindlessness which is welcome once in a while in a video game. ><

Got Red Dead Redemption yesterday.
Very unique so far, a more slower paced wild west gta (except no cars to rob). Got great characters, dialogue, gun battles, and hilarious events with passing strangers.
I could understand if gta fans didnt like it though, its nowhere near the same sandbox-mayhem-filled-gun-fest that gta is.
However its very emersive, and the weather effects are superb :+

The last game I thought I was going to buy ... :(
Went ´round my home town today, visiting 5-6 game shops, to get a copy of Red Dead Redemption, but with no luck. Sold out everywhere!
Even the online shops don´t know, when they´´ll get it in stock.
How fun it would be, playing online vs. all the familiar names from the zone!
Shooting down Haydn riding a horse, would be my primary goal :lol
Well, one of these days ...

i feel a duel coming on, sir ;) youll be dissarmed and getting dragged behind my horse before you blink mate :beer
one thing to note about red dead is normal aiming (auto aiming) makes the game painfully easy so put it on expert, and try to never use dead eye. Seeing as you never fight more than about 8 enemies at once, being able to que up 6 shots that nearly never miss makes even the mexican army die instantly.
Also buy the bandana early :) that way when you fancy a bit of carnage you can equip it and not suffer consequences.

Very good combat racing game. Lost my voice yelling at the tv on several occasions, one in the world cup, two this game, bastards nick your weapons just like in CTR :p
Most of the French on my PSN list have it, minus a couple of the old farts still. Mate Andy and ranga Gaz, oh yeah, Ace too, yet to try online with it yet, heard voice conversations work with this game online. Should be interesting to try later on.

Stevie, it is kinda... but like Yeldy said - it's frantic. But I can only play an hour of it online before my brain melts :D Imagine CTR in real world cars - racing in real world environments/roads - add 8 weapons and you got mayhem ensuing.
I couldnt beleive it when I saw Hackney come up on the track selection menu, Hackney East London LOL, and the best part for me was that there are three tracks from Hackney in the game :D I still suck pretty bad at them though.
Kigo also played online with Yeldar, my cousin - Man_Like_Jones, and myself in a few races earlier - that was some crazy schit :) This game is pretty mad (in an awesome way) ;) And yeah, as mentioned by Kifgo, the headsets work in-game (thank God there's a block feature to stop those whiny fools who scream "WHOOHOO" everytime they get a fackin' nitro pick up :D and worse :lol) otherwise the game has some other useful feaures I've not come across before - like Team Racing, not tried it yet - coz I gotta progress a bit further in the game before I do :)
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, I forsee a lotta game hours being thrown away at BLUR.

Yes, in a way. Like in CTR when you need a crate, you are going for the crate, you are just about to get the create, and the bastard opposition steals it from you, usually followed by swearing ;):lol
but like Yeldy said - it's frantic
Yep, brilliant, intense, bit like eliminator phantom elite, minus the bullshit barrel rolls.

Was some good races, yeah those tosser people from the US talk too much online when they get a boost or something, that changed when i turned my headset, nothing like intense Aussie swearing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI1XuN0caJk&feature=related) for the rest of the world to hear, lol. Your cousin sounds like Andy and Gaz put together Brighton/Surrey/London pommy accent. I still love the game even though i have one controller left now thanks to it. Need to do some more online multiplayer again, i see a heap of French playing this game as well, havent raced any of them online yet.

Try a few 20-person online races 8). Now I know what you're all on about with 'cambodia' races!
I bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 last week, and I'm less than impressed with the multiplayer. I mean, It'd be great if I lived in a country with decent internet, but the delay and lag I get down here makes it rubbish.
It also put me into the same Rush game four times in a row. Single player's top notch, though!

had the chance to get blur yesterday, but opted against it. played it at a cousins house. . .thank god for that. For a game that mocks mario kart in it's commercials its sure got a cheek considering mk is better in every area. You can tell a game is desperate when it has to have a pop at a vastly superior title, got MAG instead.
ACE-FLO
28th June 2010, 04:49 PM
MK better in every way? for young adolescents maybe :D
Playing a game at a mates yard, for a quick hour or so isn't really gonna give you an idea of this games aweosmeness - for a start, the class D events are like venom in w'o"...
It's not just another racing game - in BLUR, finishing 1st doesnt always get you the most points, or fans - or unlocks cars and events for you. The formula is complex, win fans by completing in race fan based events, whilst still combat racing - to unlock something opr another. I could go on, there's a lot to do.
An example, had the game a week, not wanting to play through the third grid until I've mastered the second one (which is proving difficult) had this been CTR, career mode woulda been so clocked, it'd just have to be about online afterwards...
OK, the career mode is hard, even on medium difficulty :D Coming first is childs play in racing games - but this one its different, I gotta come first and complete the in race challenges and fan challenges too? OK :? Gotcha :D Interesting requirement and test of skill there...
Ah, the fact that I can choose real cars (not buckets with wheels ala CTR) with simulated handling physics, which take photo-realistic damage is a nice touch.
The online mayhem and the reward system in-game is pretty much perfect imo.
The only thing I didn't like about BLUR is that you can't import your own soundtrack - that's it. Having said that, the ingame soundtrack is pretty good too :)

SaturnReturn
28th June 2010, 06:50 PM
Should I have? Firstly, it doesn't need a new thread, because, as I already said above, one already exists. Secondly I considered moving the posts into that thread, but some of them were actually still on topic and/or didn't have much off topic discussion. Also, Harvai's post also referred to other recent purchases. If I'd have moved all the others then his comment about BLUR within that post wouldn't have made much sense. If I moved his post as well then the comment about other games wouldn't have made any sense in a BLUR thread. So I decided to leave them and just ask people to use the thread about BLUR that already exists (http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7305), as conversation was becoming extensive. If anyone wants to continue the discussion from here in the other thread, then that's still possible by way of a link.

i was surprised that an "online" game had no sort of friends list. I was looking forward to helping a mate out with a boss or something but it doesnt quite work that way.

Bought Eve online in may, and haven't looked back. This game is so mind-blowingly huge, I'm still just scratching the surface. You really can do whatever the heck you want in there. Be a pirate and blow up other people's ships and steal their stuff - check. Scam people on the market - check. Make, smuggle and sell drugs - check, be a slaver - check, build an empire and take control over large parts of the game world - check, be a spy and infiltrate an enemy corp/guild (and then royally screw them over) - check, and the list goes on.
And now you can also steal other people's subscription time. It's awesome:D

I'm not one to rush out to buy games when they are first released at their truly exploitative release prices anymore, except in very rare cases [LBP2 will be], plus it lets others sort the wheat from the chaff for you if you wait, you just have to watch your friends list to see what and how many, are playing a particular game or check their trophies to see if a game was any good.
Which as a case in point-Mod Nation Racers seems to have sure died quick.
Apart from trying to get the last X 4 player level done in LBP to 100% story levels, harder than getting Bling Brigade done when few had chrome.
I bought the God of War I & II double pack 2 weeks ago, surprising for me as it has never appealed before.
I finished GOW I 100%, just got to finish Titan Trials 6 & 7 in GOW II to finish that 100%.
Good games, but the laggy controls had me in swear word hyperdrive.
They had a sale on Uncharted 2, new, none platinum copies at less than secondhand price, so I would of been mad is I didn't get that.
Good game, I now see why it won GOTY.
I'm just starting Chapter 23 or 24 [?] of 26 chapters on my first play through on Hard.
One thing I couldn't believe is the amount [9] of DLC game patches that I had to download when I first put the game in the PS3.
They've got to be kidding.
I haven't had a good look at what the 2 DLC pack trophies entail to get them, but I'm guessing a heap of grinding around multiplayer maps getting something boring like a 1000 Arse kicks for a bronze , which to be honest doesn't appeal to me, and looking at friends lists didn't appeal to any of them either.
Besides, the price of the two DLC packs is nearly as much as I payed for the game.
Hurry up Nov 16th, I want LBP2
Darkdrium777
12th August 2010, 04:00 AM
Uncharted 2 has basically no online trophies required for Platinum.
It's like: Play a competitive game. 1 Trophy. Play a cooperative game. 1 Trophy. That's it.
DLC packs were multiplayer focused so they added multiplayer trophies, but they are not required for Platinum as usual. ;)
blackwiggle
12th August 2010, 06:56 AM
Yeah, I realize you don't need to do the DLC trophies to get the platinum.
It just looks wrong having a platinum for a game and the game stats of something around 85% completion because all these added DLC trophies have changed the percentage.
It's like that on a lot of games now days.
It use to be that your game completion stats stayed still after you finished it and you didn't play the game anymore, now Sony have even changed that as the PS3 goes looking for the bloody game updates now, so you have no choice it the matter.
A total PITA if you have sold/traded your game disc and more trophies suddenly appear.
I think the extra trophies should only be added if you buy the DLC, most of them seem pretty lame bronze trophies anyway, all the good challenges were in the main game.
I've just been reading complaints at the PS forum about UC2 online and getting fined Virtual$$ and losing levels if you rage quit, some guy said he had 2 disconnections and a game freeze at the game loading and he ended up getting fined V$200,000 and losing 7 levels without even entering the game..OUCH!

Just got Extreme-G III for the GameCube. I hadn't played it in years, but it was just as good as I had remembered.
The only problem, though, is that Arcade mode seems to be broken - the lap count is stuck at two for ALL speed classes, and not just the lowest. The higher classes were designed for three-lap races, so I always end up losing when I try those classes in Arcade mode.

You can't buy it but I've been playing loads of Vindictus (http://vindictus.nexon.net/) recently. It's quickly coming to my top of the list next to Monster Hunter (It plays a lot like it for boss fights.)
Before anyone is too hyped up: US and Canada only, for now.
If you can actually play, it runs on the Source Engine 2 so even some quite old computers can play it. Three characters so far, more on the way. The game is Korean so there's some time for translations (And we are on a delay compared to them.)
It's free to play but the way they make money may annoy some. Not me, I don't play enough for it to be annoying.
I also didn't make a new thread because I figured it would be pointless to do so since a lot of people are from Europe and wouldn't be able to play.

I don't know for the PC version but the PS3 GOTY version is pure bullshit : the DLC are NOT included on the BluRay... you just have a f**king code to dowload once, and once only (pray for your HD not to crash), the DLC on the PSN.
So, I waited for the GOTY for long, but finally bought the regular one :blarg

GT5 just makes you play it more than you feel like somehow; despite all its flaws, it still has quite an addictive quality. I'll probably get anough into GT5 for me to put it down for good, hopefully soon so I can get some prac in for the HD cup :P
I got Bayonetta as well, I thought it was really good - but it's kinda like GT5, at least the PS3 version anyway - its interface is clunky and laggy, it has ridiculous load times; in addition to an uneven framerate. The gameplay is great though. Just don't ask me what I think of its story! :P

Amnesia: The Dark Descent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amnesia:_The_Dark_Descent)
Oh... my... god. What did I buy? My nerves have been destroyed. This game is definitely not good for those who don't like scary games.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Scary Gameplay (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEHPwAvrc_U)
You have to avoid darkness to keep your sanity up and you can't defend yourself from the monsters. You have to either run or hide in the dark. You can even hide inside wardrobes and stuff. Looking at monsters and witnessing horrible events will decrease your character's sanity, making him harder to control and bring on halucinations.
It's one of those games where you see the videos of other people playing and think "Hah, not scary..." but when you play it alone, in the dark and with headphones on.... then you will definitely get scared.
The demo of it is well worth checking out (the full game is only £13 on Steam or from the developers shop): http://www.amnesiagame.com/#demo
If you've seen videos of it with lots of comments you'll surely see people mention 'the water part' which is also featured in the demo. Frightening stuff.

It's not complicated at all really. On a basic level you can beat enemies by just mashing buttons and dodging at the right moment. But then there are lots of new moves you can purchase which would make battles more interesting, and new weapons and accessories and stuff. But I suck too much to figure out how to use them properly. I could lend it to you once I'm done with it.

I love F.E.A.R. I remember sitting in the lounge on the sofa with my laptop a few years ago, also playing it pretty much non-stop. Can't remember what it's called, but there's a weapon which kind of shoots a beam at things which zaps them in two - it's awesome. The nail gun is brilliant in slo-mo as well.
Woopzilla

I can't remember the name either but that weapon is awesomely fun and the electric gun is also very similar to it. Also, that heavy single-shot firing gun (with the rotating barrel) is also awesome when fired in slow motion, you get to see a really awesome impact 'shockwave'... love that. :D
EDIT: I just reached an awesome part in F.E.A.R. 2 and had to record it. You might not want to watch if you plan on playing this... I'm not entirely sure, but it could probably be one of the cooler sections that in the game and therefore be somewhat of a spoiler. Best watched at 720p in fullscreen and loud volume ^^: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_gkIfoassI

Burnout is good fun so far. Love cruising around the mountain roads with bumper cam and some cool tunes. I feel it has a really good feeling of speed and is very smooth.
I'm not feeling Vanquish a huge amount yet. I loved the demo but I've played a bit longer and so far there doesn't seem a huge amount of depth to the game, i.e. nothing additional yet compared to what was in the demo. Once I'm finished Bayonetta I will have more time for Vanquish though, and perhaps then will get into it more.
My sister got me a £20 gift card for GAME, so now I have to work out what to spend that on too, but don't really need anything more at the moment. Hmmm...

Dead Space for £5 on Steam.
I've heard many good things about this game and it seems really cool so far but I should've seen it coming... this game does have the EA logo on it after all.
Problem 1: I load the game for the first time and notice my mouse input has a 500ms lag minimum (which is huge) on the menu screens. I recognize the symptoms of other poorly made ports/games and turn off V-sync: Problem seems to have been solved.
Problem 2: I got into the options to adjust video settings but notice all the menus are half off-screen. A quick google shows that the game doesn't like you having joysticks/gamepads plugged in which causes (for whatever random reason) all the menus to be misaligned (???). Problem seems to be solved after removal of my joystick.
Problem 3: The camera is near unresponsive. I crank up the ingame sensitivity to full and the camera still barely moves. I need to enter Logitech SetPoint for my MX518 and crank up the sensi there. Problem seems to go away.
Problem 4: I now notice that there's actually some weird mouse accel which still makes the camera controlling difficult (it's now the opposite: I do accidental 720 degree turns if I'm too fast) and worst of all: there's a dead zone when aiming (!!!). If you move your mouse very slowly while aiming no input is detected by the game. It's as if they just took the coding from the console controller's stick (or something similar to a joystick) and applied it to the mouse (which is probably the most retarded thing to do ever). Problem can't seem to be solved after much googling. This means fine adjusting while aiming is impossible.
I really want to enjoy this game because I get the impression that it's a really cool game with what I've seen so far... but I actually spend more time fighting the controls than I do enemies. I think I'm just going to have to use a controller and hope that it will feel more natural.
Although it was only £5, I'm really disappointed with the shoddy port. Anyone and everyone can notice these errors within 2 minutes of play and it completely baffles me how this was released in such a state and hasn't even received a patch since then.
Really disappointed. :(
EDIT: After some more searching I finally found this:
http://techreport.com/discussions.x/16051
http://techreport.com/discussions.x/16061
The second link finally helped me after spending much time googling random terms about dead zones and what not. That guy was actually right about the fps. I loaded up FRAPS and checked my FPS. I was in the 200s... after re-enabling V-Sync the ingame menus become really horrible to navigate again, but the ingame controls improve due to the game now being capped at 30fps (but which is also ather ugly to look at). I'm going to see if I can setup some fps crippling settings (a rather strange endeavour) to lower my fps instead of that silly 30fps cap. :P
EDIT2: Well that failed... even at 1920x1200 with 8xAA 16xAF Tripple Buffering etc etc etc I'm in the 180fps range. I'll just have to make do with the ingame v-sync capping me at 30fps. :/ The controls are a lot better now (though still a little odd), but at least it's playable now.
I decided to start on Hard too and got my ass kicked when I met 3 of those monsters at once. I managed to pull through though after a few deaths. :D

Just an update if anyone else has Dead Space issues on the PC.
If you have an ATI card, get the latest Catalyst Drivers (10.12) from the AMD ATi website: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/downloads.aspx
The previous drivers were dodgy and the options didn't take effect. The new drivers work and I've managed to succesfully cripple my fps by turning on AA, AF, Super Sampling and all that fancy stuff until my fps dropped from 200fps to 70fps. Making the controls work far, far better! The game's controls are still broken, but it makes it a lot more playable. No need for the ingame V-sync anymore (yuk, good riddance 30fps).
But alas... new problem: The game glitched my save from Hard difficulty to Medium??? I had to google this and, yep, the game has a bug like that. All my effort fighting those monsters has been wasted. I now need to restart and make backup saves to make sure the game stays on Hard. :bomb

I got NFS: Hot Pursuit and AC: Brotherhood.
Hot Pursuit is a good game. I'm not going to say it's great - there are a billion irritations with it that remind me too much of Burnout's flaws (difficult to understand interface, no skip buttons on the crashes, traffic appearing precisely where you don't want it to), the eye-strain you get from the police lights and the fact that I swear Javariko's somehow managed to transplant his Harimau engine into his Viper.
But Autolog is a fun feature and vastly increases the replay value of the game. It looks teriffic, especially in HD, and the pursuits are truly heart-pounding. I'm also kind of glad it doesn't go the route of overly twisty city sections, which would just make it even more frustrating. It actually feels more like an OutRun game, which is no criticism whatsoever. :D
Also, it makes me wish girls made the sounds the Porsche Carrera GT makes when they reach climax. Would make it all the sweeter. <33333
---
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood... haven't really tried the multiplayer properly, so I'm not too sure about it all. Might have to get used to it a bit more before I start being proficient with the stabbiness.
That said, the story mode is an absolute hoot to play, though not sure about the whole massive-great-big-Rome idea. Means you sometimes get freeze errors as it tries to load the whole thing. The characterisation is great though, and it's difficult not to like Ezio. That said, it is a bit easier than AC2, which in turn was easier than AC1. Also, never been able to get that facebook syncing thing to work.
That's my two cents anyway. :3

I just finished getting the Platinum on Enslaved, it's a good game, but getting all those orbs is a PITA, very easy to miss some despite playing through the same chapter up to 5 times.
You should get the Pigsey's Perfect 10 DLC for it, it's worth it, it's stealth tactics rather than the fighting in the main game.
Plus it's a 3D update that works with those old school red/blue gasses on a standard TV, as well as the new 3D sets.

I got Dead Space 2 on release day; it's pretty good. If anyone else is like Kyonshi and haven't completed the first game even though you have it, I'd recommend getting it done before starting the second, as the sequel's story is based quite heavily on the events of its predecessor.
spoiler (highlight to read):
You even get to feel nostalgic about 70% through the game, ending back up on the Ishimura, and there a couple of moments where Isaac has little flashbacks of things that happened in the first game while on board, so I think you'd get more of a kick out of that section, for one thing.
/end spoiler
Also, I think I'll have to work my way through the game to unlock this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBS86rAT4W0), lol. It's unlocked by beating hard core mode (where health and ammo are more scarce, and when you die you restart from your last save... and you only get 3 saves for the entire game. The game isn't that short, either).

I'm still waiting for my copy of LBP2.
So I went in and bought two cheap games.
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, which isn't that bad a game play wise, the graphics are like late PS2 games, similar to the GOW pack, and the voice acting is really woeful, thankfully there's not a lot of it, but otherwise I have spent $$ on worst games.
Assassin Creed II.2nd hand
I haven't even put it in the console yet, neither have I the original for that matter, I got side tracked with some other game at the time and never bothered playing it.
Saved for a rainy day games.

hope they have improved Majin from the demo, the controls/fight system just felt really wrong, looked like it could be a wonderful game though, I liked everything other than the controls and movement

[QUOTE=BulletWraith;193193]hope they have improved Majin from the demo, the controls/fight system just felt really wrong, looked like it could be a wonderful game though, I liked everything other than the controls and movement
The fight controls are OK, I never had a problem with them, it's the camera angles you can find yourself dealing with during battle that can be a problem, apparently there is a camera lock/reset button you can used to help in this, but I never used it, actually I didn't even read the manual until after I had finished the game and was putting it back in it's case.
The most annoying problem is that you are suppose to work/fight together, but that big lummox sometimes gets in the way, so you have to run around him.
It's got elements of ICO in it, and the fight music sounds almost identical to the music used in Shadow of the Colossus, I don't know how this happened as Majin is from a different studio.
I found I surprisingly managed to Platinum this game in under 30 hours, and that included some grinding at the end to max out two stats to gain that trophy.
It's quite an good/enjoyable game, I don't know why it hasn't sold [the reviews slagging off the voice acting I suppose], same goes for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, good game that hasn't sold.
As for Crash Bandicoot, I always found that in Crash 1 it was very hard to get Crash to run or jump exactly where you wanted him to, the direction controls are VERY twitchy.
Very frustrating that he can so easily swerve to the left or right while running or mid jump, thus missing the landing spot or running into a lethal obstacle and dying.

I picked up Deathsmiles on the 360 a couple of days ago. Almost passed out when I saw this on the shelf as it's the first Cave bullet-hell shooter to go on retail sale over here, and as a fan of their other work (Mushihimesama, Espgaluda and DoDonPachi) there was no second throught really. It's a very interesting game as it's a side scroller as opposed to the usual vertical shooters that the others are, but it's still as hard as nails.
Now can they PLEASE release DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu over here? :)

And thanks for the reviews of Mirror's Edge, whoever posted about it...finally ordered it today. For $20, it doesn't matter to me how short a game it is, and besides I see there is add-on content that looks quite fun (to me) available for it. yay

Yeah, I saw that video when it launched, and from over 200 hours spent on Fallout 3 I knew they'd release it in a broken state and attempt a patch up job later.
That's why I left it a while to pick it up, and I was busy with other games when it came out anyway. Despite the glitches in Fallout 3 I got a huge amount of enjoyment out of it, which is why I feel I can live with any minor bugs in New Vegas.
To date, Fallout 3 is the only game I've earned a platinum trophy for - just can't get enough of questing in the wastelands! :)

Thanks for the heads up - it's good to know. I might have just the one, comprehensive play-through with this one rather than the one 75 hour effort followed by a 150+ hour play-through that I did with Fallout 3.
I like to do all the optional parts of quests, but I've got less time on my hands these days, so I don't want to leave anything hanging the first time around.
Had to re-load after completely misjudging a situation last night. We'd need spoiler tags for me to go into it, but I figured I'd have a go at nipping the whole Legion story path in the bud when I first crossed their path. Needless to say, it didn't go well as I killed their leader and immediately failed the quest! :lol

Yes, I love this game a well. Though on the other side I curse the game regularly. I have played the game sooo many hours and still, I just don´t get the feeling of really being capable to control Faith 100%. It is just hard to lok down to check where your feet are and to run forward. However, I managed to get one 3-star-rating, a couple of two star-ratings...but mostly only one star. I really cannot understand how people do all 3-star ratings. I mean, you can watch videos on youtube, sure. But since the game is not that easy to control it is just damn hard to copy what you ee in the videos. Nevertheless, I love this game. It inspired me and just has a great feeling (stlye/music).
And yes, the DLC is everything but a relaxing break.
have you done all the achievements (or maybe trophies in your case) where you have to combine several movements? There was one I tried 70 minutes over and over again like an idiot or say..like beating Zico, haha. In the end ,I managed both but somehow...man, how annoying ,haha.
Let´s just hope, evil EA will release Mirrors Edge 2. There is still hope.
Last games I bought were some shitty Playstation One games like Future racer.Bah. Next ones will be Portal 2, new Deus Ex and Mortal Kombat. Though I hardly need new games. Mostly I play the same. Wipeout, Mass Effect (againand again), Mirrors Edge...
Medusa
30th March 2011, 11:12 PM
LOL no I haven't gotten all the movement trophies...only the "Free Flowing" (I think it's called) one. I'm going to have to write down the instructions for the other moves, paste them on my wall, and read them while I'm playing!
I'm just working my way through the TTs and speedruns still. When I'm at my best I barely make a one star run! And yes, on the DLC, even after watching the vids of people doing 3 star runs, I can't come even close. I'm still ten seconds behind the 1 star run on the easiest track!!! It's painful!
But the style is exactly what I love about it also. I keep thinking: here's a complementary game to WipEout. There could be a wipeout race in the background while Faith is freerunning, and it would fit in totally. The little tidbits tucked in the elevator displays and overheard conversations are great (ex. "Damn those rats are getting big!" or "Are your children running? Watch out for callouses...") What a game, it's just superb. :)
And yes, if ever a game needed a sequel it's Mirror's Edge. The thing is, I don't know if I can handle a whole game full of those PK Runner-trained cops...might drive me insane!
Autechom

And yes, if ever a game needed a sequel it's Mirror's Edge. The thing is, I don't know if I can handle a whole game full of those PK Runner-trained cops...might drive me insane!
I can´t imagine that this game will set a focus on your enemies. The combat is the real weak part of the game. When you know the game good enough you can just ignore these guys. But when you play it the first and second time or so, you have to deal with them. And it is a pain ih the ***. Escpecially these guys who run after you and are not beatable. Aaaargh. They scare me,haha. However, I guess, the programmers know where ME has its strength. Otherwise the DLC would have looked really different. I wouldn´t mind no combat at all in part two but more variety of moving. More possible ways you can run.
And yes, the style is wonderful. And the music *_* Imagine another person had made the soundtrack and 80% would be rock music. So, when it comes to style, this game is really perfect in itself.
So, keep running and have faith! ; )

It's got TR's Legend, Anniversary and Underworld all on the one disc.
I finished Legend and enjoyed it apart from the one glitch with the final boss while playing on hard difficulty[lara can lose her entire health and die with one hit from the boss due to this glitch, if you play completely through on easy first it opens up the Extras section, then when you beat chapter 6 time trial you get unlimited health code to type in, you can beat the final boss on hard using that]
Playing TR Anniversary ATM.
Much more like the original TR, and quite complicated puzzle wise if you want to find all the artifacts and relics, I'm finding it a bit of a chore TBH, I've miss one artifact in the Eygpt level [?]
I'll finish this before going onto TR Underworld.

@Hellfire: I've played (and recently bought) motorStorm: Apocalypse, and yes, AIs can be irritating, but on Wreckreation, they're not as tough than the Festival Mode, even though you put it on Veteran difficulty. There's also online, which is a lot of fun, but the online gameplay tends to have a lot of problems, so it could disconnect you unintentionally while waiting to join a server or placing bets on one of the players. I hope Evolution Studios can correct this so I can resume playing online and unlock more vehicles, vehicle parts, trophies, etc.
Hellfire_WZ
23rd May 2011, 08:29 PM
Yeah, I've noticed they're a bit more forgiving outside of Festival. Wreckreation is a good laugh and I'm probably going to pop online at some point with it. It's just the frustration of Hardcore that's bringing my piss to a boil. I'm of the opinion that if a game mode was designed effectively as a very tight time trial, don't stick a load of bloodthirsty AI opponents on the same track!

Bought Limbo yesterday, it's the best PSN game ive played along with Flower. The only downside is the price, far too much for such a short game. Glad I got it though.

Just received Ouendan 2 in the mail. It's a Japanese equivalent to The western Elite Beat Agents. Bloody awesome, best DS game i've played.

3D Dot Game Heroes! everyone who's in love with the zelda games MUST get it. it's like a fusion of 'a link to the past' and 'mystic quest' in 3D! it has an character editor. and u can have 16 different swords @ least, all can be upgraded. it has a 'minecraft'-stylish look. go, BUY it.
btw, just entered the water palace :D

Just got F1 2011. It's kicking my ass at the moment, but it seems like a great game. :D
@Olivario
I preordered Ico/SotC HD too. I'll start it as soon as I finish inFAMOUS. I missed both of those games on PS2, so I'm looking forward to finally playing them.
@Rennfisch
I bought Okami recently too. Amazing looking game. I'll play through it soon, after I finish some more games. :)

I didn't play these games either before. ICO is a special game, I wouldn't know how to describe it; it's totally different from any game I have ever played, but it is definitely worthy :)

I must be odd or something, but I got Rails Across America. Well, it's not the best, but it is better than some games. It can be played in any time span you please, and it's much more satisfying than most other quick-play games I've played. And if your wondering, it's a strategy game.
If anyone wants to know more, here's a Gamespot review.

P.S.- If this seems out of place, please tell me.

Oh man, F1 2010 is the only PS3 game I bought and that I really regret have done such a mistake!
I truly hate it! Except 2 online races I promises a friend, I didn't even finished a single race!!!!
If one day something make me crazy and I need something to break to feel better, I'm sure breaking the F1 2010 bluray will make me more than happy
:g
Personally, last game is Deus Ex : Human Revolution. I loved it, got platinum :g

F1 2011 and its as good as F1 2010 but wouldnt say its better as the cars handling are much much more forgiving. On the upside it means i,m doing career on pro and winning so loving it so far.Next up is SkyDrift, oh yesss :)

I bought the first Crysis yesterday.
I like it a lot. Harder than Crysis 2, the jungle is awesome, the physics are great.
Really nice. I always wanted to play but my PCs are quite old and can't run it.
Of course, I would have prefered play it on PC, but it's really good to play it, only for 20 euros. Thanks Crytek :)
The only drawbacks I saw after 1 hour of playing :
- some elements pop up a bit late;
- the frame rate is just the acceptable limit.
But hey, it's still 10 million times more beautiful than a Killzone 2 "grey only" environment, and gameplay is way more fun :rock

F1 2010 is horrible. :lol
The handling is all messed up, and the game is just frustrating. 2011 plays much nicer, and doesn't feel unfair; the more I play, the easier it gets. Break your 2010 disc and get 2011 to play with me. :D
