i'm sure there are a couple anime fans in here to warrant this post.
Redline is a spin-off movie based on the anime shorts known as Trava-Fist Planet.
the movie preview looks like a futuristic racer's wet dream.

really cool animu this. been a while since it came out admittedly but I just found it recently and aside from it being completely nuts in many places it does capture those things that first drew me to wipeout: namely the cool and outlandish designs, the speed and the intense pumping soundtrack(though I have to say the wipeout soundtrack crushes the redline soundtrack, it is still pretty well done and fits well with the movie) I'd go so far as to say that it is a must see for anyone who's a fan of futuristic racing.

I watched this and I was blown away by the quality of the animation. The attention to detail is stunning, gotta watch it in HD if possible. Don't expect a really deep story though, it's mostly for eye candy, but it is intense!

Been hearing about Redline since October and plan to buy it for my birthday in April, but I did not know about the Trava-fist shorts. I'll check 'em out tomorrow.
