ive been experimenting with fruity loops and other digital music creation for some time with friends and am probably one of the biggest aphex twin/ squarepusher/ LFO fans in the US! haha, i have posted a pic of my collection on here at some point or another. But anyways, the whole digital music creation has always been a fascination of mine and am currently looking into purchasing an Electribe Emx-1 Korg Sequencer after this summer to take my love for it even deeper and begin making things happen...so from any of your experience what do you think of it if you've used one before...or if you or any one you know is selling one for under 500 could you plz contact me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjJOehIL8tE theres alink to it..also the Kaosspad next to it is very sweet for sampling...but i want to start off more basic

you ever wonder how some people do live sets of drum and bass music or trance /acid or any of that stuff? well this is one of the pieces of equipment used to create the beats

Trance/acid? Wassat? Just kidding - obviously. Is the kaosspad the thing that what's-his-name from Muse has built into his guitars?

Where do we go to hear music you've created? I'd be interested to hear it, even though it's not typically my thing, so many people here like this kind of stuff that it's interesting to learn about it.

all of the stuff i've made with my friend Tomek is at his house since all the software/hardware is there...which is my reason for picking something professional up now...because i want to actually make more things myself for people to hear

and yes, matts guitar has a kaosspad installed in it...very sweet..its basically a mini mixer that you can put your own samples on...something the Eletribe cannot do.

I wish I had the money for something like that or a decent synth, although I'd probably be rubbish with them. xD

I've been messing around on fruity loops too, I learnt how to use my little vintage casio PT-1 through fruity loops with the mic input, so I put some nice reverbs and flangers on it to make it sound fuller. But that's about as close as I'll be getting to any proper instrument.

wish you luck finding one cheaper =]

ooooo yea...i laid out a track this morning as soon as i got up that sounded really great to me...with a few more added sequences and some realtime recording it could potentially be my first wipEout track

i would definetly go with FrostE... well i have just got back from sushi and drinks with ag wolf and some others (mmmmm scorpion bowls) and im feelin pretty good so i laid out another part to the track, it doesnt sync up how id like so i may be changing it. but as wolf said at dinner...i need a MIDI to USB adapter so i can midi dump my tracks and patterns/sequences from my EM-1 to my PC. so looks like i gotta go buy one now :p
