View Full Version : Red Mark and Shameless Behaviour
CaptainWipeout

I've just realised I've got a red mark for a little shameless behaviour.
I have no recollection of having committed a little shameless behaviour - and I'm more than aware that this isn't even in the proper section.
So - If you actually want some shameless behaviour - here goes:
Personally I think you're a bunch of geeky ****ing little twats who need to get a cunting life. Eat **** and die the ****ing lot of you fannies.
How's that????

Are you still here?

Yeah - weird -
I was just testing the system to see whether I could get banned or even more red marks.
At least it would be justified now.

Don't worry about the marks, they are user given. There could be someone who just personally hates you...

You shouldn't react like this, a bad rep sometimes happends ( i got a bad rep when Foxxy released the reputation feature long time ago : someone read my shortcut thread from 2097/XL : seems he wasn't OK with the shortcut thingie and put me one bad rep : but i am still here.
So perhaps you may calm down a bit and everything will be back to normal :nod

I was in a bad mood this morning - up at 05:30 to go to work and spotted this when I got in.
I HATE rep. points on forums.
I'm secretly trying to get rid of this name CaptainWipeout now as his name no longer exists. It was waaaay too hard a name to carry.
P.S. don't worry guys - I'm a Wipeout geek too - and a fanny.

Eh, I don't know either. Was wondering why a few days ago myself...
However, it's not something to ask about here in WipEout HD section.
To check what is said in rep given to you, go to User CP. It shows the last 5 there. Of course users who leave bad rep don't want to be identified, but you can click on the rep and it shows the post. Judge from context and you could figure it out.
However, your previous conduct in this thread is a little appalling. :/

Does it look like I ****ing care you dick?
Anyway - some people must have added some rep cause it's green now.
Can you delete my account????? MODS!!!!!!!!!

Bizarre... I don't recall giving you a bad rep or negative feedback.
I'll take a look into it - back soon.

Ah, I discovered it - it's a problem that was identified some time ago, in that I had given Arnaud a ridiculously high reputation to cheer him up. Unfortunately it means that it gives him lots of swaying power when he agrees or disagrees with a comment.
So although you had only had one thumbs down from him, it outweighed all the few points of positive feedback you'd had and that's why you ended up with a red mark.
I'm not too keen on your reaction in this thread, though, so I'll grant your wish and ban you. Mmmkay?

Heh, just as I was typing a PM to him about this very matter.
Anyways, for the record:
I am pointing out your over-reaction and acting out with the insults sent to everyone in general on the forum, and I am the dick? Please explain yourself.
Also, I like how you "hate the rep feature" yet you have used it on my post in your over-reaction. :lol
I don't understand your conduct, I explain how you can figure out where the rep was given, I say I myself was wondering why you had a red square earlier this week, but nooooooooo doesn't matter for someone like you. Just insult everyone right? :- FYI this conduct is over the top and your comment towards me is way out of line. :/
A simple PM to Infox about the rep would have been better suited, but instead you decide to get yourself banned for whatever reason you have come up with in your childish mind. :brickwall
I would normally insert Captain Picard here...
IMHO before all this your posts seemed all ok to me (As I said, I do not understand why you had bad rep) so really you're hitting on the wrong person. But if you please, continue to do so if you wish to get really banned. :nod

Well worded.
What a waste, though... a needless over-reaction to something with a very simple explanation. Won't be deleting the account, though - this kind of thing deserves to be left intact should people ever Google the guy.
You know, like potential employers... that kind of thing.

It's pretty rare when i am giving a bad rep to someone and comparing to the numerous good feedbacks i sent (mostly justified : thx guys for the paypal payments LOL ;) ), i think it's not a big deal. I spotted this guy on 2 or 3 comments he did ( pretty borderline) and the last one i simply sent a bad rep.
I also remembered in the past, guys starting with a bad rep and bad posts from them who simply changed from attitude and now are fully respected by the vast majoritie of this forum.
I hope this captainwipeout will also change from behavior :)

hmm... I've got a reasonably high rep [though not nearly so stunningly luminary as Arnaud's :) ], but despite both that and that I'm a mod, I seem to only affect a rating by 1 point. Emphasis on the word, "seem", since I could be misreading something.

Quite possibly. After all, I am merely a "jewel in the rough", a very crude fellow, indeed.
Of, course, instead of giving out 'demerits', I could just ban somebody. :g

That depends on how they're banned. Bans can be simple or very thorough.

So what the heck does all this mean? Are you talking about the green squares? I assume the more you have the more your opinion matter so to speak? Not that not having them means your opinion doesn't matter but I assume that's the gist?
So how does one gain or lose them? Honestly I don't fully investigate a forum much. They're probably in the FAQ's but alas I didn't read them. I suppose I lose a gold star for that:g

It depends: if what you write helps, entertains, or is just a really good thing in general, it might get good rep for it. If you offend, abuse or act like a twonk, you will get the opposite reaction.

How to give or take away rep: click this: http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/images/buttons/reputation.gif at the top right of a post.
I approve = +1
I disapprove = -1
(Except for Arnaud where it's like +20 or something it seems xD)
You can write a comment, but it won't be signed, so if you wish the other to know it was you giving the rep, sign it with your name in parenthesis for example.
But really, for me too it's kind of useless, for one I can give rep to almost nobody else now (Spread some around first, but to who!?!) because I've given so much to everyone else, and it doesn't really matter overall because good posts can be made even with reputation as bad as the opposite of Arnaud's. :nod

Wonderful entertainment. I am really intrigued to see what colour I have beside this post now! Will it be red and so lead me to storm out reality tv show styley? or will it be green and leave me feeling warm and fuzzy inside? Or will it be (as I suspect) BLUE! I think this means no one has bothered with my comments either way! What was that quote again? The only thing worse than being talked about behind your back.........;)
Not sure who to thank but ta for the warm glow of positive rep!

Actually i think it's +15 or -15 when i add a rep to someone, the figures depends on how you are ranked with rep : for those who got 2 green bar that could be +/- 5 pts , those with 3 green may be +/-8 and so on. ( it's just an estimation)
