G'day all,

moving the thread a little bit away from the norm, has anyone ever been to North Korea? I have some friends who want to go somewhere mega unique after the HSC exams, and NK having an economy that was one of the few countries that actually expanded during the GFC, along with a lot of attractions and rly cheap stuff there seemed like a good choice. Also its one the last few brainwashed communist states left on the globe, would like to record i went to one before they all die out =S (if that makes sense)

Turning 17 next yr, other 4 friends are 18, and ive saved up about $600 with a possible $2500 loan from my parents. Posted this up on a couple other forums, but any insight into this place xP?

While your over there, take some photos of the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang,

I wouldnt mind seeing the update on this unique structure.

This is what i am talking about also,

Slowest construction building complex in the world, one before the New WTC which wont be completed till the end of next decade.

I'm not okay. I can't take life anymore. It seems that most of the time, I get the **** in life. I'm sick of life to be honest. It's pathetic, but when you are getting screwed with by every girl I've ever liked, have had to endure countless amounts of abuse because I'm genetically ****ed, but that's what happens when you're looking at the wrong things on a girl, but **** it, I'm used to it.

why are you genetically ****ed? if it makes you feel better, i'm an overweight, uninspired, constantly tired **** with clicking joints. my job has nothing to do with my degree. i was unemployed for over a year. i've had major injuries and they happened as pointlessly as you could possibly imagine. i've been in real love with 3 different girls and close to it with many more and i've never come within a ****ing light year of any intimacy or relationship with any of them. i'm friends with most of them but the girls who've been interested in me - rather be celibate. and i am - virgin. the girl i'm mad about now just quit work and is going to perth forever in a couple of weeks. can't drive. never won anything. i've lost important things.

almost every day of my life is a complete waking nightmare. so what should i do?

what do you plan to do to solve your problems? maybe you're hanging around with the wrong people or girls if they're getting you beaten up for not owning a 360. and you just got an A in physics or something. see things aren't all bad

Of, course. But it will get better. Life is a very transient and rapidly changing thing. It will also get worse again. And better again. But it always seems better to me than the alternative to life. I would live a thousand years and more if I could.

Statistically speaking, based on the lifespans of my parents, I have about eight years left, and the last of those will be a weak and ghostly thing. But I still want it.

I think banning these two elite players is a joke based on what i can see.

I can only assume they must have done some really bad things that we are all not aware of cos based on what they did in the thread wouldnt constitute any more than a warning off the mods to calm down.

Lance
19th September 2009, 01:02 AM
In my opinion, the first and most important rule of any forum should be that the members should behave respectfully to each other. "pirahpac" has broken that rule again and again ever since he has been a member here. He was warned more than once about this, and on one occasion was banned temporarily. If members have so little self control that they cannot stick by a rule that they already know and already agreed to honour, warning accomplishes nothing but to allow them to stick around long enough to break the rule again.

People who break this particular rule fall far short of being elite as humans no matter how elite they are as pilots. Their skill does not constitute their value.

ACE-FLO
20th September 2009, 03:39 PM
There's not much to do - except drive in to Preston and go bowling n pizza hut. There's always blackpool but it's like an hours drive. And blackpool's only worth going to when they turn the lights on.

Mdhay, I lived in Blackburn for 6months, back in my 20's.

Lance, Blackburn got bombed the schit out of during the war. Redevelopment took place on a series of hills. Roads northside of Whalley Range are built on a 30degree incline. Clutches on cars fail more often in Blackburn than anywhere else in Blighty!

mdhay
20th September 2009, 03:44 PM
ignorant question: What's the matter with Longshaw?

Longshaw is a hole. If you have a job, you're treated like ****, and you run the risk of being jumped. Longshaw is mainly inhabited by people who are drunk, on the dole queue with their thumbs up their asses, or both. And that's just the kids...

Lance
20th September 2009, 03:48 PM
?So, the only thing really wrong with Longshaw is that it has a smaller number of socialising opportunities than a larger place?

I would never even notice that since I don't go anywhere except the supermarket and the post office. So I guess I'm just a Longshaw kinda guy. :g

edit: oops, just saw mdhay's reply, which wasn't there as I started my comment. Hm... well... I'm so isolated that I probably wouldn't notice those defects. Luckily for me, I don't have a job. :D

No, he's cool - I went into my garden coz I saw he was feeding his cat some milk. He said hello so I replied "Nice Indicas dude" to which he laughed a bit nervously and said thanks - I then told him not to worry, I'm a fellow toker and said "wait here a sec - I got something you might be interested in" and ran off inside.

Upon my return I gave him 3 feminized seeds - A Jorges Diamonds, A Red Diesel and a Himalaya Gold - and said "you can have these strains, if you sort me out a lil share of your crop once it is harvested, dried and cured." But he went one better and said "Wait here - it's my turn now" and ran off inside - he returns with a nice squidgy black ball off soft hasj - explains it is made from the Super Silver Haze and dropped it in my palm. I was a bit chuffed and said "WOW - thanks man !" but this guy said - "ah thats nothing mate, when the crop is ready, I'll sort you out a nice bag, thanks for the seeds man - I hate buying seeds coz I get paranoid" - must be some seriously good **** this guy is schmoking - either that or his tolerance is real low :D which is a good thing imo :D hehehehe... so it all worked out kinda well for me.

I just weighed the hasj and it's 3.13grams which is a nice bit tbh - but I'm gonna save it for tonight as I just had a joint of some White Widow (oldskool lovely strain) and I'm a lil wasted atm :rock :D

I couldnt sleep til 5 am-ish, damn it was a hard day... But there was a silver lining. I remembered I had a nice ball of soft black made from super silver haze, so made a blifter and got blasted.

Damn, that was some good schitt!!!

Anyway, a friend of mine who is self employed and currently staying in Switzerland just asked if I could drive up to him in, and drive him back to the London... He's got gangrine in his foot and can't afford the medical care there, thus wants to get medical care here for free, on the NHS!

Apparently, he cut his foot, and refused to deal with the problem, then went to Italy but suffered mad pains in his foot on the plane, and ended up in hospital there. The Dr's told him his foot would be getting the chop, but he panicked - discharged himself, and rushed back to switzerland on a train...

Hmmm... not very bright is it? Anyway, last night I get the call and he's in a lot of pain. Chances are that his foot will have to get the chop anyway.

Bill is a 63year old American of Polish origin, who became a British national about 7 years ago. He worked with a lot of internatonal banks, trading in midterm debenture bonds - or MTN's as he calls them, (whatever they are - not interested - even though he showed me a Million dollar note once - not kidding, A real fukking million dollar note, comes with a certificate from the US govt. - but you can't spend it? wtf?) anyway it was better for his business to move here.

So I guess sometime next weekend (I just can't make it any sooner), I'll be in Switzerland on a day trip, I'm not taking my current banger of a car as it is a wreck tbh. So I guess I'll have to hire one (a small, cheap car to hire most likely) and go up there... thing is, I've never driven across Europe, so this is gonna be some crazy day trip. Was gonna stop by Amsterdam but it's in the wrong direction, I just checked.

Anyways, I'll let y'all know what happened with his foot, it's kinda sad really, coz he got no family here in London save for a few friends. His kids are in the States and don't even know about this schitt yet...

Damn! - Is it bad for me to hope that his foot don't stink up in the car? I even feel bad asking you peeps!

Marmite, Bacon AND cheese, eh? Sounds reet tasty. I'll have to give it a go.

Another thing I like Marmite with is, believe it or not, Nutella. It has a similar 'twang' to peanut butter, but with an extra richness. I can never eat too much of it though. If you can eat more than two sandwiches of it, I'll give you a pat on the back and a t-shirt.

Even better on toast. Has to be straight out of the toaster, none of this cold toast bollocks. Yuck

I'm still out on this new, supposedly 'cheesy' vegimite. Tasts exactly the same to me, only slightly smoother.

yeh when I was a kid instead of pouring gravy on my meat'n veg I'd pour it in my glass some times to drink, pissed off my Mum
& you really should try Mousetraps, just put butter and Marmite on the toast, then little strips of bacon on top, the then a cover in thin slices of cheese then grill
(btw not advocating eating meat here, just y'know if you have too)

also anyone tried Marmite and Marmalade on toast?, I used to love the stuff :D

& @ Yelder
yeh Bovril's awesome, Sharp sort of refined taste, sort of thing I'd imagine the old english military having on toast in the morning
I think they still sell it in the cute little jars they sold it in when I'd have it at me Nan's, like 20 years ago

That flowing constantly shifting action is what I like about it. And Aussie rules play allows handling of the ball, but not holding, and kicking from anywhere to anywhere to advance to a scoring position; this makes it a lot more dynamic than "soccer" and American football. It's just frenetic action action action, with so many opportunities for brilliant play.

Question... Have you ever read a post - and had something really clever to say in reply? So you rush through, getting your little clever nugget down before anyone else can (FIRST!!!), and hit reply...

.... Only to see that you made a REALLY bad typo, or your hands omitted a key word or sentence required to make your reply funny.

Then you kinda read it and evaluate whether or not it can be understood, and weigh that fact against editing. Because you know if you edit your post - people will think you're less clever, because it took you more than one try to "get it right".

So instead, you just stare at that edit button... contemplating.... For the same reasons a virgin, new car or "mint in-box" appeal to us. That "new post smell" just cannot be compromised with an edibrt.

Crash Team Racing is the best karting game ever made! I had great races with friends earlier on this decade. The tracks were fun and it had some wacky weaponry and it was a good laugh until people started to take it too seriously.

Speaking of 90s platformers on the PSX, I enjoyed Insomniac's Spyro trilogy. The second one is one of the greatest games on the system, if it wasn't for Wip3out it would have been the best game of '99 for me. I think Spyro had the same fate as Crash, sold off to Universal films (or someone like that) who've done who-knows with it since.

Crash Team Racing is the best karting game ever made! I had great races with friends earlier on this decade. The tracks were fun and it had some wacky weaponry and it was a good laugh until people started to take it too seriously.

Same here. Like when my sister pulled the ****ing memory card out when it was saving data cause she lost the race. dumb bitch. Lost my Rally Cross 2 custom tracks i made on that memory card too.

Oh god CTR...the first game I dominated at as a youngster. My friends avoided playing it with me because I was so damn good at it...babies!
If they re-released this for the PSP with wireless multiplayer I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Yeah before the hairpin. Toggle with R1 and L1, then you can get the cart to jump high enough to jump over the track. Only way to get the platinum relic for that track.

Not a thing wrong with that, IMO. Hell, I fancy that conceited but hot git, Raphael, in Soul Calibur IV, speaking of fighting games. I often play the game as Raphael because he's so quick, even without any extra skills set, that the opponents are usually dead before they can even get in one strike.

Oh, wait, I forgot to be politically correct, the opponents are not really dead, they're just temporarily incapacitated.

DEAD :g

Oh...hell no, Ace!!! I use Xiaoyu in Tekken as well. I love her style.

As for SC4, Talim all the way, Lance. Shes mega mega cool (and I use tonfas too). Raphael is CHEESE. One thing we figured out is if your character has any sort of range, ie-- a sword vs. tonfas, the tonfa player is effed royally (unluss you can get crafty)...

abukii, sometimes in story mode where the game pairs Talim with my own character, I use her to get inside the defenses of Astaroth and proceed to beat the **** out of him. You gotta stay close to him with her or he'll sweep her low with his giant ax again and again.

------

My fave characters tend to be customs based on the styles of Raphael, Yun-Seong, Mitsurugi. And sometimes on Kilik or Yoshimitsu or Nightmare or his twin, the accursed golden-boy with the giant sword.

Tell you what was fun about the 90s, is going to my old mates house where he has a 64, and we played Cruizing World, and Cruizing USA, as well as San Francisco Rush and that other racing game along with WO64 and his younger brother, man those times where awesome. And the amount of times we got told off for swearing are heads off.

Cruizing World had the Scrabs cunts and WO64 has the Qirex cunts as my mate would say, man the amount of broken 64 controller created by GoldenEye, epic :D:D

I couldn't stand the Cruzin games, they felt so antiquated even back then
I was playing eXtreme-G at the time and a bit of F-Zero
Goldeneye was perfect, day in day out we'd play that game, we'd even sneak out of school at lucnh time, drive over to my mates and play Goldeneye for about 20 mins then drive all the way back to school just in time for class, I had the multi player invisible code before my friends new about it, pissed them off for a few rounds until they all ganged up on me haha
Perfect Dark was awesome too, the customisation was intense, Farsight, Laptop Gun, Dual Cyclones, the ailen pistols with flame rounds
hell Golden with dual RCP 90's that was crazy

as far as fighting games go my all time favorite will go to Killer Instinct Gold, Combos for days bro

If working in a bar I suggest a quick dab of Tabasco put on your finger and then stealthily wiped around the outside rim of the arse holes glass.

That or squirt a full bottle of Visene [eye drops] tasteless and harmless ,but it makes you totally loose control of your bowels if ingested .

So the message being spread here is that the answer to incivility is to increase incivility?
