In trying to find the version 2.0 (Greatest Hits) Pure disc, I ended up with an interesting selection of games ( I have a few of each version, but only one true GH version it appears. Please reply here if you happen to have a Greatest Hits version, and explain how the box and disc look- There's some MAJOR changes in 2.0 and I'd like to be able to help others identify the boxed disc easier when working on a technical FAQ.

Wipeout Pure (Bought at system launch):
Black spine
Normal outer artwork
No inside artwork
Blue disc (version 1.0.4 build)
Short song credits in book

Wipeout Pure Greatest Hits (Bought new from store):
Black spine
Normal case artwork (WITH A GREATEST HITS STICKER over the front top !?!)
Inside case artwork (!?!)
Blue disc (version 1.0.4 build)
Short song credits in book

Wipeout Pure Greatest Hits (Bought off ebay after searching for a proper disc):
Red spine
Red Greatest Hits bar across front top. Artwork has been pushed down on the front
No inside artwork
Blue disc with Red bar across the bottom edge whith "Greatest Hits" printed in white (version 2.0 build)
Long song credits in book (1-2 songs more listed, will need to document)

These 3 versions have been the extent of what I've found, but it seems really odd that a RE-BRANDED Greatest Hits box would have artwork inside given how the normal and REAL GH box do not.. perhaps it's a display box of sorts?

Let me know what you have!- this is wierd! Thanks!

I've got the WipEout PurE NTSC launch edition as well (Matches your description, with the music credits one only one sheet).

I like how it says at the back of the manual that WipEout PurE is now available for the PSP system :p

Wait, I'm confused. My Pure box that I bought at the launch has artwork on the inside. Also, the Greatest Hits disc has a different version of the game? Why?

Interesting about the artwork in the case on a launch version.. all 3 of my original retial copies have no artwork inside...
the US greatest hits has some major changes in terms of requirements for gold on zone, and some tt changes iirc, I'm working on a full rundown of the changes...
most files on the disc have stayed the same, but other cosmetic changes as well, for example in what to call the WLAN switch, some comments in the xml code were cleaned up, etc...

here's the 3 different core versions I have...

This matches the 3 retail copies I have:

This is how the ones I keep finding at GameStop as "New" Greatest Hits are packaged:

This is what the Greatest Hits SHOULD look like:

Also included photos of the changed music credits pages.

After looking closer at mine, I noticed it also has the extended music credits. Heres some shots of mine so you can see.

You seem to have the Greatest Hit sticker edition, but without the sticker.

I definitely have the original first launch one (It was bought when the PSP came out so :P)

lol- some friends were commenting on my "excessive" collection, just from looking at the psx versions, so I decided to post everything so far...
i think drugs might be cheaper when it gets to finding all these versions...

That, and compared to some people here, I hardly have anything lol.

What are the changes in Zone Mode requirements?

I have the black-label original version, but I have no idea when it was produced. I bought it in new, sealed condition on eBay in late 2007, and it was heavily discounted ($15, maybe?) as if they were selling off old stock.
