Wipers in grey colour: Please confirm if you´re ready for sunday! ALL SET
NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES (not to be dictatorious, just to keep it simple - we don´t want to spend months discussing how to set up the match):
1. The national/regional team consists of 4 wipers + 1 reserve/stand-by.
2. The match consists of all 16 tracks. Phantom speed. Weapons On.
3. One team hosts the 8 forward tracks as an 8-races tournament, the other team the 8 reverse tracks as an 8-races tournament.
4. The points of all wipers count.
5. If a wiper disconnects: Just too bad. (Nothing we can really do about it).

Bin (and your sisters as well):
What you´re facing sunday is not some bornean tripe without electricity,
it´s not four drunken cardinals on a sunday morning,
it´s not head-amputated children from Belize - (which is a nice country, by the way).
You´re up against The Ice-Men from the North.
You´ll soon enough find out what a real killzone is all about!
Better bring you´re stand-ins ... You´ll need them :lol.

Soccermums: I wont drink anything if you don't roll anything. :blarg
JJPAP: What we are facing is a picnic and then an early night. 8)

JJPAP
6th March 2009, 09:24 PM
Well, Team Nordic has decided on their team for sunday´s match.
I wish you englishmen would do the same. You have to settle it somehow.
We´re really nice fellows. We´ll help you in anyway we can. Guide you around the tracks if that´s what needed, won´t hit you too hard if you´re afraid of pain, embrace you if tears are running down your cheeks after the first 8 races.
But - Team England: You have to decide on who´ll be a part of your own team!
Extra help: If you´re in need of wipers, I´ve heard about a guy called Hahahaxorger or LillyLover (or what ever the f***´* name is). He seems to have a lot of spare time.
Zoth-Ommog
6th March 2009, 09:44 PM
But i doubt he won't be able to race, because of lack of brains. He's only able to talk crap, and sucks even on that so.. not much of an option huh?
Unless.. awww too nasty, better to shut up or you guys would kill me :lol i think i got your draft there Pappy :)

Sounds good Hellfire!
I might tape the match as well. It´s just that I get a little distracted with the camera in between me and the telly.
But what the heck, it´s only vs. England: There´s plenty of room for a little distraction :p.
Good luck to you all - especially Zoth, Soccer and Chaos.

You really ran away from us on Ubermall reverse and Sol2 reverse :)
Ahh well... we might have lost the battle... but the war is not yet lost :beer
KGB
8th March 2009, 11:09 PM
Well done England, I think you carried me through that. Ubermall reverse was the best i think, a top 4 places for England. Sebenco reverse was the worse where i hit some scenery and got pinged backwards half a mile (when will I learn).
Well done Team Nordic you did very well.
I may be demoted to "b" team after this showing though. Or "c" :beer

Well done Team England. It's amazing how close individual players' scores come out in these matches. Not to mention how similar Team England's scores were in this match to the Dutchmen's scores in our match.

i had no idea we drew on points 1st round, thought id let the team down.... i tried hard to help out on rev tracks to try and make up, even slowed down from 1st on vk just to hit JJPAP with a quake :g

Great job guys, it was a really fun tourney. And I pretty much kept up my record of being a mine magnet on a few tracks too ;)
OLOuk, don't worry. Let's face it, you could have been on the opposite side of the track when you laid them with the entire pack between us and I'd have probably still managed to hit them :lol
EDIT: I've created a blog to act as an archive for all the arena events that people manage to record. If you upload them to something like WeGame, I can create a blog post and add the links to the videos from there. So far I've got the Team Nordic vs Flying Dutchmen videos that SaturnReturn made, the ASTRAL league second pool videos from a few days ago, and tonights Team Nordic vs Team England match up.
Here's the link to the blog: http://hellfirewz.blogspot.com/
JJPAP, if you do decide to upload your videos as well, let me know and I'll add them as well. It'd be good to see the tournament from different points of view :)
Again, apologies for any ruderies you may hear, I do get quite vocal sometimes ;)

Congratulations to Team England! What a scores, so close. I wonder what had happened if the police hadn't showed up at Osama's door?
Only 1 player from each team that did not finish last on one of the tracks. Looking forward to a battle between Team England and the Flying Dutchmen.

Great idea, Hellfire. Good work :).
I hope it´ll open other countries eyes to the fun of these kind of matches.
Hellfire: JJPAP, if you do decide to upload your videos as well, let me know.
Of course, I will :nod. But it´ll take a couple of days as it´s DV and can´t be transferred directly.
NB! Splitscreen view (http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5403&page=31) from Team Nordic vs. The Flying Dutchmen, if you want them for your archive.
