MMO hopes for ps3

id love to get into a non PC mmo again. so im hoping at some point one will be in development for ps3, something like how EQ was for ps2. anybody else have this wishful thinking?

I remember an article around february talking about sony's plans for a console mmo, though I've heard nothing since.

Ive tried to get into them before, but nothing really stuck... except phantasy star online on the dreamcast 8)

Id only play it if the combat was gameplay based. I despise WOW, no matter what anyone says its too much stat based and not gameplay. I know its never, ever going to happen, but something with nuts gameplay like devil may cry as an mmo would be fantastic in my eyes :)

a friend who runs the video and game store. has told me about some new Playstation console coming next year and a half.

Playstation N...something. i just got told of it two days ago. and working on just the PS3 120 Gig for less than 400.

ncsoft are also developing console mmo's. Not sure about Aion but they were talking about having something late 2009.. was an article on mmorpg.com which i cant find at this moment in time.

but also square have been working on a new one for ages, as ffxi is somewhat long in the tooth now. Still, seeing at it takes them 4 or 5 years to release their first ps3 game i wouldnt hold your breath :)
