Playing HD with 2 different PSN accounts on the same PS3

I'm new to the PS3, so is this possible?

And if it is, will there be two different "HD profiles", with two different savegames (records, campaign progression, trophies, ghosts)?

I did it. My principal account's id is "leungbok", but i created a secondary one with id "BADTEST". I use the second for friends, when they come home and want to try online gaming.

Yeah i've done the same, But i did it to check the US site and the JP site for there PSN store games...Just set another account with either a USA or Japanese address :cowboy

Yeap, in the XMB menu, jsut go far left and create another user.

My wife is playing hd too, and it would be nice for her to be able to set her records , without the need to exit from hd and change profile.

Because we usually play together, one try for her, and one for me.

But how can she set her own records, and advance in her career if she uses my account, me being of course much faster then her ?

I see. Well, unfortunately there is no profile select option in the game, so your only option is 2 seperate PSN accounts... :?
