Beer Taster

Foxy got me thinking.

It`s about beer or ale taster of how good they are.

Mine is a bottle of Bombardier of Wells, Satanic Mills, Alc 5.0% vol, based in England somewhere.

I had tried and it`s taste nice, got a nice chocolate feel and slight bitter but nice.

Yes I do drink Stella alot but I do drink different type of Ales for curiosity:beer

This is my first one and I bought a bottle in Asda (supermarket)and it`s cost £1.51.

I`m getting different bottles of Ales or beer when I can.

If you got one then let us hear your views and tastes.

If it's got a "light" in it's name it ain't no beer! It's flavoured water at best. :blarg

Try some Guthmann, Zirndorfer or Meister Bräu. That's what I call "a real beer". :beer

But I can enjoy a good Bitburger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitburger) as well. In Prague I also enjoyed Gambrinus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambrinus_(beer)).

Then, on the other hand, there's always a difference between beer out of a bottle or a fresh one out of the beer barrel.

On my recent trip to Scotland I was impressed by the Belhaven (http://belhaven.co.uk) and Islay (http://islayales.com) ales. :beer

I`m a big fan of dry foreign lagers and real ale, but not an expert. I also really enjoy a couple of bottles of chilled Belgian Cherry Beer (http://www.beermerchants.com/B5308) at the end of a long, hot day, or with a meal. I think this might be wrong :paperbag but I do find it tasty and refreshing :D

You was close enough but no, it`s actually comes from bark flavour to give a distinctive chocolatey bitter taste.;)

I got 2 beloved beer in my past : i think it came from Belgium : the ' Carolus d'or' and also a famous one due to the shape of his glass and support : the ' Kwak'

I noticed this thread a few minutes ago hovering around the bottom of the page and thought it was ironic, because I'd just replied to a similar thread on the SRK forums. Hehe.

Anyway, I'm a seasoned ale drinker, myself... For me, there is nothing like what is known as a 'nasty ale' on a hot summers day. (Not that we have many of those anymore. :P )

I drink any of the following:


Hobgoblin - A nice, 'nasty ale'. Beautifully sharp.
Circle Master - Possibly my all time favorite ale. Too bad it's seasonal here.
Fiddlers Elbow - Smooth and refreshing.
White/Black Wytch - Both equally gorgeous tasting.
Long Days - A very fruity tasting ale with a bitter end taste.
Old Tom - Dark, yet smooth tasting strong ale.
Wasp Nest - Smooth, almost fruity taste witha sharp kick at the end.
Empire - Possibly the lightest of the lot, but still a nice drink. (Good with BBQ food.)


Other than these, I drink Guinness, of course. Also, if you are into lagers and you ever visit Greece, try Mythos Hellenic Lager. Best of its kind, in my honest opinion.

An ale to avoid would be the Blandford Fly. It might be to your tastes, but it's not to mine. It's quite scenty.

Can't say I have. London is a bit too far away for me. They have a beer festival here every so often though. :)
