I recently returned to playing Wipeout Pulse after a long holiday of playing only Wipeout Pure. Is it my imagination or is screen tearing MUCH more prevalent in Pulse than in Pure?

Technically speaking, Pulse is better than Pure on most accounts-- how is it that the screen tearing is so much more noticeable? Hell, I had never ever *heard* of screen tearing until a year or so ago. Just curious why this phenomenon is showing up so often in recently released games (on the PSP but also home consoles). Anybody know?

Pulse has a much higher framerate, and subsequently screen tearing is more prevalent?
This is how it is at least with PC games.

I have noticed quite the contrary, but my case is not representative of OFW in that matter since I use 4.01 M33.
But at 333Mhz I believe Pure has tears much more frequently than Pulse, at least in first person view. Outside, the issue in Pure is less worse, and in Pulse I have never noticed it.
