As the topic title suggests, this thread is a place to exchange info on where to find your faves. If there was no game soundtrack CD released, then where can the individual music tracks be found and legally acquired?

First website that comes to my mind is Galbadia Hotel (gh.ffshrine.org/). However it appears to be down at the moment.
Second, much like Galbadia, is Kingdom Hearts Insider (http://www.khinsider.com/index.php?).
That's if you want the songs from the game.
For additional music, there is:
Acid Planet (http://www.acidplanet.com/)
Immediate Music (http://www.immediatemusic.com/index.html)
Fine Tune Streams (http://www.finetune.com/wii/)
You can't download off Fine Tune.

Have someone who owns the game and have them rip the audio themselves :P
It also depends on the game format. If it's not disc based, there are many .vgm formats out there (.nsf, .spc, .usf, etc etc etc) for each respective cartridge based console. If you're talking computer games ala Amiga stuff, then you can typically find .mod or .xm files (.sid for commdore crap) and stuff if you look hard enough. Amiga Music Preservation and Unexotica are good places to go for those.

yeh if the music you want is off the original GT you should be able to just rip it of the game disk as most (like the wipEout game disks) just play the audio tracks in a normal CD player & if that still doesn't help most good MP3/DAP's have line in recording so you could just plug it into the headphone jack on of the TV and record it straight from the game if your desperate(icky SQ)

This is THE place you don't wanna miss when looking for game soundtracks. There is already a solid database and chech the forum if you can't find what you're looking for in the DB. Loads of new uploads everyday.
However, gamemusichall seems more appropriate for recent soundtracks than for older ones. They have some, but still seem to be lacking some gems.

Yeah I know this restriction is indeed a pain.

I agree this would be a reason valid enough for a boycott but I still haven't found better :g

As a user of Opera, I would disagree. :D
[Although I think sites are best viewed in whatever works best for you.]

Sweet! That site is awesome, thanks a lot! Seems like I can only have 2 tracks going at a time though. I don't care, better to have a place where I can easily find this stuff.
EDIT: RARGH forgot you had to right-click and go 'save link as'...
