Ok so I know that both Jabberjaw and Insertcoin here play UT3 (Respectively on PS3 and PC) so I wanted to ask both of you guys something ;) Also if there are any other UT3 players (PS3 or PC) please report here ;)

Anyways, I have made a map for the game and getting feedback from other places like Beyond Unreal or even the Epic Games forums seems a bit difficult (Maybe there truly is nothing wrong with my map but I'd like to know from you guys anyways). So here is the map:

A couple screenshots:

DM-Fractal [PS3] (8.22 MB) Click Here (https://www.mediafire.com/file/nz2tjyetz21/DM-Fractal-PS3.rar/file)

I'm especially concerned about the performance. How well does it run on your machine? Is the framerate OK when you open the trap doors (Shoot the yellow arrows) on the PS3? And on your PC? I don't want to release a map which doesn't run well...
So please get back to me, your feedback is appreciated. ;)

wow fantastic remake of the classic UT99 map, lol u failed to mention its a remake but its good i love seeing UT99 maps in nice new graphix. i trust the map is full of rocket launchers and shock rifles :g and u shoot the panels on the floor and the trap door opens? anyway looks really good, ive made a few maps for UT99 and it takes alot of time lol.

anyway if u want some feedback upload it on http://nalicity.beyondunreal.com/index.php
you will get fast feedback there as its a remake

and btw i dont play UT3 i need a new graphix card.

Yes it's full of weapons and gibs too :D
The trap is fully functional, so if you shoot any pair of arrows on the floor, the doors open really fast and anyone standing on them falls to their death, covering you in shiny blood red rain as they do so. :g

As for nalicity is says in the rules that maps must be in a final state. And mine, while really close to it, is not. :/

Oh I like it! :)
Runs 60 fps constant with no bots even when you shoot open the trapdoor at 1024x768 world:5 'other setting':5.
Obviously the fps drops with a bit of action, but its still completely playable.

Nice Ok so it plays correctly at your original settings. At mine it does OK too (Although I have a pretty good PC so it isn't really an indicator, that's why I was wondering about lower end machines). Now all that's left is the PS3. I've had some users say it was doing OK too but I've no idea if they opened the trap door or not (Because that's where the most resources are used because of the Portal. That's why I make it disappear for World Detail lower than three). Because if they open the door and it lags on PS3 it's not ok hahaha.
Also I've had a remark: what do you think about the upper walkway? Is it too narrow? I can make it bigger if you too think it is.

Well it's not as if my computer is any slouch either! 8800gts 512 and an e6600 oc'd to 3ghz, so i doubt my computer is that much of an indicator of a low-end system.
The upper walkways can be a little annoying to navigate, but if its true to the original, then thats fine.

Then why are you playing at 1024x768? I play at 1680x1050 all settings maxed and everything's fine for most maps. I think only VCTF-Containment lags on me in one particular area (But since it's the spawn area I don't mind really haha). I have almost same computer as you. ;)
As for the walkway I'll make it larger...

EDIT:

Here is version four, hopefully final version!
No screenshots for this post since it looks basically the same as the older version, only a few things have changed (Walkway is larger, a few meshes added/moved to hide lighting problems, etc.)

So get downloading!

sorry, just read this. I have hardly played the game, but wanted an excuse to set up my fragfx. I'll have Isaac help me later with the download, and I'll give you a report for the ps3 version this weekend. I have been busy getting a few WO1 records (probably the only trying records in that right now), and have been not playing HD when I had gotten myself on a roll getting much better times. I don't have alot of time to play wipeout lately, so really give good efforts when I get the chance. Anyway, I'll try that by this weekend

Hey thanks I didn't expect this to resurface :g

What was worrying me the most was the framerate when you opened the trap doors by shooting the yellow arrows on the ground, as well as the map description showing up on the PS3 (Doesn't on PC because of a bug).
