Hi, I got the idea of a WipeoutZone picture album ; the members who want can put a picture there, during they are playing Wipeout or just for fun^^

Perhaps we will meet by chance in the future, world is very small =D
I will put in the main post your pictures, for people who don't like to check all threads :)

I start with a picture of me, excuse for the bad quality, that was the only one I found :

Silent 1 (http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/2034/photo027se5.jpg) (at right, with a friend at home, party^^ )
Silent 2 (http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/9872/pic0152lf9.jpg) (always on the right, Venise... :) )

hahaha awesome, all of them fit in the post so I dont have to upload them elsewhere

badge.jpg - badge I did for game/anime/etc conventions and stuff. I did the lettering and layout, a friend of mine drew the dog

IMAG0081.JPG - puppets really have a mind of their own

klaus-eric.jpg - a friend's dog kinda pulled me down with him and wouldn't let me go

IMG_0464.jpg - summer birthday party for a friend, I had a WICKED bad sunburn

Picture073.jpg - Halloween last year. Give me the camera.

save for those of us who are really photogenic, most pictures people post online are never really exceptional XD I need to get a relatively normal shot one of these days :P

I'm not entirely sure Lance but if I had to estimate I'd say maybe around 300 meters so about 980 feet . I know that specific part we were hiking on is 3,377 meters (11079 feet) above sea level . Heres some info on the Drakensburg mountain range if you're interested . :P http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drakensberg

3300 mEters? yowch. I don't think I could hike that high and still breathe enough air in to keep me alive. But I am sadly out of condition. I've improved a little lately, but living in Florida limits how much altitude conditioning one can do. Highest point in the state [not counting buildings] is about 100 meters.

Lance, must mention I ran in florida when I went down there a few times, It is more of an excersize in boredom, straight long roads.
Don't have pictures ready at the moment. Now I know who to play tricks on when they arrive at the tourney(Al Sartwell doesn't live here, who? dj techno, frostey what? don't you guys have real names?
Sorry, never heard of the guy, have a nice trip back to (insert home state here) :)

dammit lance, meters!! I thought you were old school, "Meters? what's that, a yard plus three or something? Keep that euro-canadian crap(remember this is lance speaking) out of here" Seriously though, when I was in middle school, they kept saying Metrics, metrics, metrics, it's the waaave of the future. In the US as of April 18, 2008 = REJECTED. Although I like the liter bottles of coke since it is 1.8(or so) ounces more than a quart.

The metric system [System Internationale, SI] sucks, but I was talking to a guy from South Africa.

The English system where so many measurments divide by two again and again actually fits the binary digital computer age better than anything else. All those lovely eights and sixteens and thirty-twos and sixty-fours and the inverse _ths thereof. Beautiful human measurement harmony that also works well on computers.

And the practice of seeing things as a whole and dividing in half is pretty easy for the human vision/nervous/kinetic system, and makes far more sense than the purely intellectual and internally referential exercise of the SI which takes into account nothing of the real world and the nature of the beings who will be using the system. It does not work well for either humans or computers. And the basic measurement units are generally too small or too large relative to what humans use in their everday lives, thus forcing the brain to work with numbers that are inconveniently large much of the time.

Mind you, I also like the duodecimal system a lot because it eliminates all those infinitely repeating decimal representions of one-third and two-thirds. One-third in duocecimal is .4 instead of the infinitely unresolved .333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 et cetera forever.
