Need some help

I got a new PC not long ago, and it came with Vista. The thing is, 3dsmax does not work and I need to use some files in the .max format. They are BART rail cars for my train simulator.

I was wondering if anyone here that has 3dsmax working could convert the files for me. .3ds format will do, just something gmax will import.

Please send me a PM if you can help me out, and I'll send you the files.
