The Mysterious 9th Circuit...?

In a mystery more mysterous than the Mysterons at a murder mystery weekend with Poirot and co. I vaguely remember hearing about an abandoned in development track which still has its remenants on the game disc itself. Now the forum search as bought up nothing so I'm not entirely sure if this was a dream or just seldom mentioned, but I think it may've had a vertical section which flummoxed the physics engine. But im not sure.

So if anyone has any idea if im not on cloud cukoo land over this could shed some light?
