From WipeoutPulse.com but written in number form, and next to their wipeout pure stats. Pulse to the left, pure to the right. EG.X not used in calculations due to not being in pure.

EG.X:
Speed - 8
Thrust - 9
Handling - 7
Shield - 7
total - 31

Goteki 45:
Speed - 7 - 6
Thrust - 10 - 10
Handling - 7 - 6
Shield - 8 - 8
total - 32 - 30

Feisar:
Speed - 7 - 4
Thrust - 8 - 8
Handling - 10 - 10
Shield - 8 - 6
total - 33 - 28

AG-Sytems:
Speed - 7 - 4
Thrust - 9 - 10
Handling - 9 - 8
Shield - 8 - 4
total - 33 - 26

Assegai Developments:
Speed - 8 - 6
Thrust - 8 - 8
Handling - 9 - 6
Shield - 7 - 6
total - 32 - 26

Qirex-RD:
Speed - 8 - 6
Thrust - 7 - 6
Handling - 8 - 6
Shield - 9 - 8
total - 32 - 26

Piranha Advancements:
Speed - 10 - 10
Thrust - 6 - 4
Handling - 6 - 4
Shield - 9 - 6
total - 31 - 24

Triakis:
Speed - 9 - 8
Thrust - 6 - 4
Handling - 6 - 4
Shield - 10 - 10
total - 31 - 26

Average Total for Pulse: 32
Average Total for Pure: 26.5714286
Ratio: 1.20430107 : 1

So, we can calculate(Ish) how ships differ from pure to pulse

Feisar:
Pulse - 33
MPure - 33.72043
Pure - 28

Goteki 45:
Pulse - 32
MPure - 36.1290321

AG-Systems:
Pulse - 33
MPure - 31.3118278
Pure - 26

Assegai Developments:

MPure - 31.3118278
Pure - 26

Qirex-RD:

But Pures stats were out of 5

I doubled the stats so they were out of 10.

I was puzzling over the stats as well.

Is it just me, or are the stats on balance more similar to one another than in Pure and other Wipeout games? Perhaps SL is trying to make the teams more comparable this time around?

They did that last time it was only that one of Triakis stats got played around with and they forgot to change it back.

^ Yes and we all know what the end result of that was.

I don't think we will be having those problems again though...

Even forgetting about Triakis, there is quite a bit of variation in vehicle performance in Pure, right?

It'll be curious to see if that's toned down in Pulse. I've yet to see a racing game really truly balance the vehicles-- it's generally inevitable that somewhere between 2-4 vehicles end up being the only realistic choices at the highest levels of competition. It would be great if SL was able to balance the vehicles to the extent that many or all were viable for online play (and time trials!)

I see what your saying but, take Triakis away and what other ship can be used to dominate the others in the same way with all the speed and brute force? Now someone will jump fourth and say Goteki, not so if I recall the number of Goteki to Triakis kills I have thats including offline play where it is outrageously difficult to destroy a Triakis. As for the number of vehicles that can be used at high level competition Arnaud has won at Phantom in a Feisar and no no one else was in the same ship at the time! I would suggest its possible to compete at the highest level with almost all the ships on the game, that includes Harimau :)

You expect me to comment on that?

Some ships, IMO, work better doing one mode, but absolutely suck on others. Take Piranha for example (my apologies to any fans of this team! :paperbag). I think it does a phenominal job on time trials, but lags in races. On the other hand, I would rather race in a FEISAR than flutter to the finish line on the trials.
