Wipeout PSP Theme

Hi All.

With the release of the fw 3.70 it is possible to use personalized theme on the screen of psp.

Sony has released a tool for create theme, for now only in japan, but it works well!

I test it and here you can see the first result....;)

How did you get the wallpaper and icon bit working?

I cannot use the theme maker myself. I sometimes look for themes via the link below (there are over 50 themes). If I find a theme with a nice set of icons I can always use it with a wallpaper of my choice. ;)

Hi All.

For the correct working of the theme you must have:
1) the official fw 3.70-3.71 for psp.
2)create a directory PSP\THEME in the MS
3)copy in THEME directory the file WO.PTF that you find in WO.ZIP
4) go in Settings>Theme Settings>Theme here you find the Theme wo.ptf.
apply it and you'll see the icons change and the new wallpaper
;)

Hi All.

Here is the tutorial in order to use Theme Maker for PSP:
We have six tabs...

Information: you put the information that regard the topic (name, producer and version)

Wallpaper: it must be in format bmp and it must be 480x272

Category Icons (the main ones): they must be in format png or tag and like resolution they must have 64x48

First and second level icons: always formed png or tag and as resolution has 48x48

Prewiew icone (icona of preview): format png and resolution 16x16

Prewiew image (img of preview): format bmp and resolution 300x170
Theme color: color of the topic

Tnx for compliments, but it's all for SL good graphic work :D

i have only rearranged what i find everywhere in the web related with WO...;)

....i use photoshop cs for rearrange the images.....

this way is my standard:
1)Find the image
2)edit and dimension it (64*48 - 48*48 - 16*16 for the psp themes)
3)save it as png or tga 8 bit image

I use theme maker to assign the image to the psp icon.

that's all....excuse my bad english, but it is so :D

Thanks so much for your theme, Alterego!! My precious team in its own little theme, I love it!
I will wait a bit before switching to it though, I am so in love with the Wipeout theme icons!! Put the beautiful wipeout 1 render which was in the forums here as the wallpaper...drool. My jaw still drops a bit everytime I switch PSP on...

Hi All.

The beautiful girl in the intro of ridge racer 4 look similar to Rei Ayanami, but she is not.

Rei Ayanami is a chara from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

She has blue hairs and red eyes, but in the picture this particular disappear.

In this conditions she is similar to the girl in Ridge Racer 4 intro ;)

@Asa: ah ah ah.......I spent a lot of hours to assembly and paint with oil paintings these kits, but not so much time like that i spent to learn how to drive a wipeout ship..... :D

I've just made my first psp theme, it's taken me about 6 hours and 3 applications to get it this far. It's not done yet, it needs some improving (the umd, memory stick ect.. don't go with the settings, photo ect... thingys.)

EDIT: PM me for the link to download it, a pesky "friend" of mine wants this theme to claim as his own work. I would rather him not get it.

this is designed for "phat" psps, it will still work on slim ones but the video out icons will be normal. I can't be bothered to design the icons for the extra slim psp items at the moment, although I may do at a later date (sunday hopefully).
