I can only imagine how amazing the atmosphere must be at one of those shows, with the music and the visuals. Would totally rock.:guitar

In addition to the Kyoiku and Adult albums I have (they were cheap on Ebay) I recently shelled out for the Dynamite Out concert on DVD (Toshiba EMI's DVD's are all region free :g).
Can hardly wait to watch the whole thing on my stereo system. Seriously, there just aren't that many consummate musicians in the world that get together and play well, at least not that I've seen. Music gods are usually too busy trying to outperform each other. I don't think I'm exaggerating by saying it's one of the greatest performances I've ever watched. Totally balls-out by the whole band. (Okay, so that expression may not work for Ringo...)
At least YouTube is always cheap, when it works...
So back to what I'm listening to...I am thinking about throwing this onto my Pulse playlist, if I ever tear myself off the guitar and play some more wipeout:

What great hard rock/metal sound, just wonderful. And if anybody cares...
"This song is about Tattoo [Irezumi] Ari, a movie based on a real event that happened in Japan in 1979. The movie is about the man, named Umekawa, who held over 30 people hostage at the Mitsubishi Bank. He killed 4 people in the process and also stripped the women naked and used them as human shields."
Slightly dark, but with all that awesome riffage and the great voice who cares?

Ooh more Cybass, awesome!
Well different to I'll Stay, that's all I have to compare it to. Do you reckon that was more influenced by his sound or by Sconeboy's sound btw?
Still tasty though ^^
OBH

Dont think it sounds like sconeboy either personally. I presumed it was just a Rio de Janeiro spin on dubstep :) Hes got plenty of it. Not as good as I'll Stay but still sick.
Cool tune to race to. :nod

I have the original LP.
Bought new.
The bass player was really good.
[gets all nostalgic] I really miss the gigantic artwork of those 12 inch x 24 inch foldout album covers. And the posters that came with some albums.
yeldar2097
2nd August 2010, 06:32 PM
I got one of those the other day. Not cool retro LP but they do still make them. The artwork on some of them really is fantastic, although I haven't got any that included posters (maybe cos I got most of them 2nd hand ;) ).
Also got one of those funky mobile record players in a briefcase. It's SO old but it still works a treat. Retro ftw :D
Lance
2nd August 2010, 07:45 PM
Those seemed pretty cool; never did have one, though.
I can't even play old vinyl right now; I'd have to totally reorganise my audiovideo hardware stacks. Which except for the X-box/DVD player, the little HDTV, and the headphones, I hardly use any of anymore. Everything else gets done on the laptop. If it can do it.
Yeah, the posters from secondhand LPs are usually on the previous owner's wall. Or lost in a landfill. hm.. that sounds like a Radiohead lyric. :D

I've got a few old LPs of mine on our living room wall, I should take a pick to see how many people could name. Totally off topic though.
You got some really cool art work with The Stone Roses records, god knows where they are now. You got great pictures with The Beatles White album as well. It was never the same after they brought CDs in :D. Damn technology!

Well since I dont have a PS3, but my roomate does, I bought wipeout anyways and installed in on there. SO I put my techno/trance/dnb music in his PS3 and he has his. SO when we play, its very varied. Essentially, I listen to artists from Noisia, to DMX, to ATB, to Lady gaga, to Gucci Mane, even Disturbed. Since Wipeout is a fast paced game, alot of songs, no matter how fast or slow can go well with the gameplay.
