According to PALGN (http://thatsmymouse.com/ur.php?m=r&uH=a522sc3&ur=http%3A%2F%2Fpalgn.com.au%2Farticle.php%3Ftitle %3DUpdated%2BAustralian%2Brelease%2Blist%2B-%2B03%252F09%252F07%26id%3D8722&pId=43&uId=11504&dKe=2f70eee154178bbadfba6fbaee17bda0&lTi=0&atX=772&atY=715&pX=1007&pY=2828&pUp=1&lAc=13&mCO=-1&uTR=11504&nCa=1188795143812) who are pretty spot on in their release forecasts, WipEout Pulse will be held back from release till the 15th of November 2007 in Australian territories. Futuregamez (http://www.futuregamez.net/previews/pspcoming.html) still has the date set to the 18th of October so let's all cross our fingers that Pulse graces us with it's beauty sooner rather than later..
WipeOut Pulse release date via different Australian retailers:
EzyGames (http://www.ezygames.com.au/product/index.html?id=3790) - 18/11/07
GamePlanet Store (http://www.gpstore.com.au/Games/1546924.html) - 15/11/07
Burn.Com.au (http://burn.com.au/products/info.php?lookup_code=L583435&id=616165) - 15/11/07
DStore.Com.au (http://dstore.com.au/games/Wipeout-Pulse/1066489.html) - 15/11/07

I was afraid that this was going to happen. The date was already not clear/pushed back.
Oh well, there are other racing titles to look out for. Sega Rally for psp looks promissing.

Amazon still say 28th September for Euro, but others are later. Sega Rally does look promising indeed, could be tempted by infrastructure play on that if there`s a delay: Relive my youth of Colin McRae and Rallisport nights. :beer:rock

I just wish that Pulse had a firm release date.... I feel sorry for Australia, I really do.

lunar: RalliSport 1 for the Xbox was awesome. Well, except for slippery car handling.
At this point I'm just hoping Pulse will be ready by Christmas. (Though I do intend to pick it up at GameStop when it's in stores ^_^)

Christmas but, but Wipeout HD is supposed to be out near Christmas, PS3 vs PSP Wipeout you know what ones going to loose right? The life of my copy of Pulse could be cut a little short, unless HD gets delayed till 2008.
Edit: According to Playstation.com it is in fact November and you have to think that if anyone knows, they do.

On several Dutch online shops it say 7 December 2007 :( The horror of again more waiting....
On the other hand, there are a lot of features to be implemented. So I guess LS needs time to make sure it's good :nod

I fear you may be right. The release date for Pulse has now vanished from my sources.

It doesn't really matter for me, as long as it is good, SL can take all the time they need to make it perfect!!!

Doesn't matter to me either. I'm still a relative noob in Pure, so I can wait.

Wikipedia says that Pulse will be released in November in America....
Can anyone confirm this? :?

I see that too... I'm just waiting tell I see it in the store. I heard December earlier, so November is still earlier than I was imagining... Oh well, just an extra month, not that much. ;)

Remember wiki is full of ****. Whoever wrote that must have made the assumption based on what the retailers are saying or they got it from Playstation.com which states November but no specific date, I'll only take official or otherwise very reliable word when it comes to the release date.

edit--
This item will be released on November 30, 2007.

Whats even more irritating is Loco Roco 2
Due for release on 29/02/2008

So does Game and play.com too, so maybe it has become semi-official.

More time to save up money for it I guess... looks like I may be able to get a PSP slim before it comes out after-all...

DVDcraze (Australia) is also reporting the December 6th date, further evidence that places are converging on a single release date-- that may of course still not be the true release date!

I can't help but think that Sony wants this game out before Christmas holidays given the inevitable and absurd spike that videogame sales receive this time of year.
Ah, if only videogame sales were more constant year-round-- imagine the benefits that gamers would have. No more rush-rush to release in the October-December window, no more "batching" of release dates so gamers must endure the spring and summer droughts.
Ok, end rant :)

Hey, I'm all supportive of Christmastime release dates. And the same date for all regions.
I've been busy with school anyway, not enough time to play Wipeout Pulse now even if I wanted to...

All I'm waiting for is a firm release date so that I know when it's time to throw a "NEW WIPEOUT GAME!" party. After the initial celebrations, I will lock myself in a room and play WipEout Pulse for three weeks, only leaving for the bathroom or a cracker, to keep me from starving.

Exactly ;D
The only thing that makes me crazy (and really not in a positive way) is the fact that we still have no official date. That pisses me off, seriously.

I don't think it's November guys GAME just sent me a mail saying:
As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Wipeout Pulse has changed to 07-Dec-2007. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control.
Don't worry, your order is still live and will be despatched prior to its release date via your chosen method of delivery
So there we are.

Well, that settles that.... Until it changes again. :| I hope this is the firm release date. Just about a month to go! ;)

Am I the only one that doesn't get pissed off because of not having an exact release date? Seriously, I'm happy by the fact of Pulse even exists and getting released in the near future.
It's coming people. Sooner or latter we'll all be pulsing around on-line!

I envy you, Roz.
I am a slave to instant gratification. I want my Pulse right now, this second. My PSP is charged and ready.
Still ready.

I`m a slave to wipeout addiction too, but also a slave to work for the last few months, so this delay suits me fine. I wouldn`t have had time to learn a new game at all, and my addiction would have interfered with my duties, so SL have probably saved me from a lot of stress. 8)
