Oban Star-Racers

Totally off topic but...
Came across a promo for an anime called "Molly: Star Racer" ages ago.
Recently, it had resurfaced and remade as "Oban Star-Racers" and I have to say, dispite the fact that it was turned in to a saturday morning cartoon for kids and the characters don't have noses... It's a really good show.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I am a grown 25 year old man watching a show geared for 7 year olds and I'm damned entertained. It has the AG racer vibe down real nice but feels more like Star Wars Racer than WipeOut, but it's still might entertain a few here. If there was a WipeOut cartoon/Anime/Show I'd rather it be more like this and less like that animated F-Zero GP Legend abomination but that's personal opinion.

Wow - it was five years ago I first saw that Molly trailer. I loved the music in it, but the link I have to it is dead now. :)

Wow, I've been waiting a LONG time for the movie Molly: Star Racer.

And only now do I find out that they made Oban Star Racers, a TV series instead?
And that it's been playing on local TV for the past half year?

F-Zero GP Legend was even worse than an abomination.

Hey, I stiLL watch some of the kids cartoons. And they're better than most of the sitcoms, many of which aren't good enough to be called cartoonish.

EErrrmmm....I should have let you know but it`s been on for nearly a year on my tv and it`s really good and it`s almost like wipeout stuff.

That's why we have Tunatic (http://www.wildbits.com/tunatic/).
It lets you identitfy music playing onscreen or via mic.
Just run it, hit the magnifying glass and play the music. usually finds it in a matter of 10-15 seconds.

I have identified so many obscure tracks in mixes and shows with it. It's awesome.

Now only if Molly had pig-tails... and a twin. ^_^

from what little I've seen of this so far it looks like the racing style is much like fatal intertia, but with craft forms that in some cases are more in line with wipeout.
would be great fun to play a game based on this show :)
