This is just a new team i'm working on, pics and flavour to go with it.

Logotype and supplier information (http://www.maj.com/gallery/jdee/Wipeout/miyukispecs.png)

This (http://www.maj.com/gallery/jdee/Wipeout/miyukiintro.png) is like a little magazine article about them (not entirely accurate for dates etc.)

The raw outline of the craft, as I drew it (http://www.maj.com/gallery/jdee/Wipeout/miyukiprogresstrans.png)

A nearly finished skinned version. (http://www.maj.com/gallery/jdee/Wipeout/miyukiship.png)

To do: Add markings to distinguish the individual craft (A, B, and X)
Add some more sponsorship decals
Write some more articles about them
Make some adverts for them
Possibly render them in 3D

What do you think of the concept so far?

Its a really nice idea, and a believable one with the technological expertise that universities would have in a new technology like AG. I think we need more privateer style teams in the series too.

Although im not sure i like the back fins on the ship, they make it look a little "flash gordon". If you made them so the back end sloped forwards from the engine instead of backwards i think it would look better. Other than that the ship looks original enough to stand out from everything else on the field. The logo is really nice too, simplistic and modern.

I like some of the ideas in here, I have do disagree with ace of spades though, would look quite icaras if the main wing units angled forward
currently there's no ships in the wipeout world that have all of their angles pulled back

I played around with shape ideas for ages, trying to get something original yet drawable. I was worried, after finishing the inital sketch, that the long linear body looked too much like icarus, but then again, that not a huge problem, so long as there are enough differences to be recognisable.

Some more colours are coming in the next update, and a shadow.
When I get time off writing up physics work...

The idea is that in such a small team, with a small number of craft (3), each is gonna be to a certain extent different. So, i'm currently cycling through bright main colours that a: look good with black and white, and b: do not clash with previously existing teams. Luckily, I think the only colour that rules out is tigron (black and yellow), black is not a popular wipeout colour.

For the moment
Ship 1: Blue
Ship 2: Green
Test craft: Red

These aren't gonna be major colours in the scheme, just like additional flashes or something.
