This may sound like a daft question.
Can a Euro PSP connect with a US PSP / or JAP PSP for ad hoc multiplayer if the players are using the same version of Wipeout Pure?

I think so, it's the games that aren't compatible.

Yes, you can. I've played multiplayer games online with people who have euro Pure and euro PSP, while I have euro Pure and US PSP.

Probably a stupid question, but how do you find out exactly which version you have... I think I have the US version but don't know how to check...

Check the serial number on the game UMD.
UCUS= US
UCJS= Japan
UCES= Euro
Also, the US version has THREE selectable languages for selecting menus, Japan version has TWO, Euro version has FIVE.

Ace - thanks. I found it. I have the US version, which makes sense because it's in english and I bought a JAP PSP in July... oops. I now have to buy the english version to get all the good tracks and stuff with the packs........ argh! is it worth it?
I loved the original, plus 2097, but haven't played any of the others after hearing weird things about them. I guess I need to check them out really.... bring on PS3 I guess...
