there is a way :o just get your mp3 music in your ear from ur mp3 player :P
then turn music off from wipeout pure ;) and only add effects :P TIP: only put one earphone in your ears else you wont hear the effects ;)

To elaborate on this, you could use a splitter, making the sound effects from the game AND the music from your mp3 player go through your headphones TOGETHER. (would be too much of a hassle for me tho... )

nothing high tech really, just a device where you plug in your headphones, and it has 2 (or more) males, which you then plug into the various sources.

in a recent past ( ) when i play pure i get my headphones with sound effects at max , ingame music = 0 , and listening my own techno through my pc.
I need to wait 2 weeks to feel that again :?

Ehehe!
Nice choise....i do the same but with metalcore music!
Sometimes i get hurt in game cuz the music take my mind away....eheheh!
However i think the techno and trance music is perfect for wipeout.....i just hate that "tuz tuz" style :P
I prefer a "sane" electric guitar! :D

If "sane" means anything like Metal, Muse or Ska then I'm with you dude. :D
