I am sorry for this angry post in a friendly environment. But i just dont get the idea of having the europians get the games last, specially this game. Why? i dont care about progressive scan, i dont care about multiple languages, If someone cant understand english and they live in europe, GO TO HELL!!!
besides does this game really have that much translation? i mean all the cutscenes are using a made up language which only leaves the in game, and main manu and the in game messages, does that take 6 bloody months?
I don't know, but i dont care either. I expect the game to be out when it is is out in otehr regions. It takes the piss!!!
i'm off to kill some people in GTA. At least that comes out within a few days here.

All right now, we understand that you're angry at the gaming industry which always seems to treat europe as a backwater redneck town in regards to new developments and products, but that's still no reason to unleash your rage on all of us.
We're all friends here. :)

SIX MONTHS?! are you sure about this?! I have been waiting for this game for AGES now, and as far as I know, european release is end of november, about 1 month after the US release! I SURE HOPE YOU ARE WRONG! I WANT THIS GAME!!!

Not six months after all, but it will take a solid four months. This Gamespot release page (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/wandaandthecolossus/similar.html?mode=versions) seems to confirm that it will only come out in February 2006 in Europe... which is a damn shame, considering this game seems to be such an atmospheric work of art.
After all, all the colossi are talking about it! (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php?date=2005-10-21&res=l)

It's funny how people still get worked up over PAL delays.

Eurogamer did an interview with Fumito Ueda - the man behind ICO and Shadow (click here (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60955) to see it). It definitely posits a five to six month wait for the PAL version :turd
I want this game. I could cope with a longer wait, but not knowing that during these months, it's been released elsewhere in the world. I suppose if I really wanted to I could import a NTSC PS2 but I can't justify that. It's all very annoying. :?

sorry guys. I didn't meant to take my anger out on anybody, just wanted to share my opinion and see what everyone else thinks. The main reason i got so worked up was that IGN lists the europian release date as 27th october 2005. and it was till i went to preoder my game down the town that i found out they have got a feb 2006 release date and even that was unconfirmed. Then it made sence that play.com and gameplay.com didn't even have it under their short term preorder list and instead they also had a 2006 release date.
I guess i had high hopes with this game.

I went ahead and imported it and I'm glad the impatient side of me one out. It's a great game indeed. It's not everything I hoped for and didn't capture me in the same way ICO did but it's certainly impressive and I would say a must-play game.
Import. You know you want to.
