Gaming - A RRL-based video game will be launched in 2007 and is expected to operate on popular platforms such as the X-Box, Game Cube, PlayStation and PC. The game will enable fans to race their own X-Racers and compete against friends online.

X-Box, Gamecube and Playstation (PS1?!) in 2007? I think not, mister. I also think EA (also known as Fat Boy, not only for its gluttony but also as a reference to the A-bomb Fat Man) is gonna eat that one up.

I'm hoping the person writing that is hopelessly inadequate in their mental faculties and actually meant to write: 'PC, X-360, PS3 and Revolution' but was too braindead to realise the current generation has ended, and that the PS1 died all the way back in the heady days of '99.

On the contrary, Seek. Microsoft might be neglecting Xbox from early 2006 on, but Sony and Nintendo intend to fully support their current generation consoles until at least early 2007. Or at least so they say. After all, many gamers will either not want to buy another console or not have the money to make the jump to PS3 or Revolution. Look at how long the PSone survived alongside PS2 - and they are still being sold.

What becomes of the game, though, will remain to be seen. What can be seen so far doesn't exactely take my breath away... ;)
