New weapons?

A quick scan through the game manual led me to this statement
"So to get all the most up-to-date weapons, ships and tracks, plus other goodies, it worth checking out wipeoutpure.com before your competitors do! "

I knew about the tracks, ships and skins but i wasnt aware that new weapons were on the way. Or am i reading this wrong?
Has anyone with US copy and upto date downloads noticed any new or change in weapons? or are we still waiting to get this weapon upgrade?

No new weapons so far for the US version, nope. Either they had planned on adding some weaponry and then decided otherwise or they are still in the pipeline. If you ask me, though, new weapons would have a large impact on the game and the balancing, so I'd actually prefer to leave that as it is instead of getting something new just for the sake of more downloads.

Even though there are no new weapons, there are certainly creative new USES for them, and that adds up to new weapons in a way.

Anyone who has raced against eLhabib has learned that the hard way ;)
