If you live anywhere that is capable of letting you watch BBC Two (or have any other means, heh) I highly reccommend that you watch Top Gear (it airs sunday evenings in the UK). It is most definately the best driving show I have ever seen.

we here in NZ are ages behind in top gear on TV, but my flatmate downloads it so we are only a day or so behind british viewers here in my flat :)

/ Here in Sweden it's on channel five on some weekdays (can't remember whether it was Wednesday or Thursday), but it's during the late hours.

I try to watch every week. A very tongue-in-cheek look at the world of motoring, and probably the only tv-magazine that provides you with absolutely no relevant information about its main subject. Except the top speed and prices of some of the most elite pieces of aluminium in the world, but thats completley useless because, just incase some of you forgot, we have a thing called speed limits on the roads which is often set to 30 or 40 mph.
Rant over, and that still said, I do watch every week mainly because of richard hammond.

Lord I miss brainiac so much........ :(

I don't watch often, but when I do it's because of Richard Hammond - the guy is smooth as a shaved seal - makes me miss Braniac too :)

You're not going to get drive-tests of a Zonda or a Koenigsegg on any of the other motoroing shows, either - Top Gear does that kind of thing because driving is fun. :D

Don't know about it not being informative, though - that expose they did on crash test ratings was quite an eye opener.
Clarkson: "Who here owns a mark 4 Escort?"
Audience member: "Me!"
Clarkson: "Nice knowing you. Moving on..."

Which one was it where Clarkson actually escorted a member of the audience from the studio for thinking a certain car was nice?

Note that I said "best", not "most informative". :)
It is most definately the most entertaining, which is really all I'm after. I also like that they don't try to sell the cars to you - if they don't like something they aren't afraid to say it.

oh i LUV the show, i don't watch it because of Hammond, but Clarkson indeed. He's got the guts to say 'SHUT UP!' to anyone who's opinion is different than his. Call it being rude, but i like it (heh, he even said it to Jesus himself once! ) The thing i remember the most from the show? Hammond being hypnotyzed. Absolutely
