Has anyone ever doubled an opponent in this game?

I'm trying to do this for the last couple of days... never succeeded :(

I did get 6.4 seconds away from the one in second place :o

doubled means being more than one lap before him , so yeah lapped :P

I could do it in WipeOut 3 , but not in this game :(

Nah, there's nowhere near enough time to lap an AI opponent in Pure. Now a useless human opponent on the other hand... :)

I lapped places 8 and 7 once on Sinucit. That was aided by two succesive quakes fired forward while far in front though.

Wow, that's pretty good elhabib. I would have thought with the rubber banding that it would have been almost impossible to do.
