Need DVD Help...

My laptop no longer wants to play DVDs, any program that tries to play it gets closed, and the error report comes up.

Anyone got any helpful ideas?

How is that done?

DVD decoders should come with your DVD player (not including Windows Media Player, I'm talking about stuff like PowerDVD). Reinstall the player and this should reset the decoders. You can also normally download the decoders from the website of your player if you have the registration code. You may also want to do the basic maintenance work like a virus scan and defragging.

No, that's a buggy piece of excrement that relies on you already having a DVD player installed, and just piles a bunch of unstable crashing spyware on top of it.
