It logs the songs you are listening to and uploads them to a profile page, then generates charts for most listened to songs, artists etc... like so: http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/AG-Spike/
If you join a group, then it does the same for the entire group. So, sign up and join the WipEoutZone group As soon as we get 10 members it will start generating charts for the group every Sunday.

Its compatible with Winamp, Windows Media Player, iTunes for PC, iTunes for Mac and many many other flavours of media player. You have no excuse!

I joined, but my Audioscrobbler profile is a well skewed example of what happens when you share the pc with somebody else... i.e. lots of stuff on there that I wouldn't listen to at gunpoint. :)

A little heads up Ally Graham, the group charts don't seem to be working at the moment. The Border Community group (for example) had one week's chart and then it died, that was over a month ago, just so you know :)

Was aware that something was up, cos another group that I am part of has not had any charts for a month.

Seems your rebuilt board search works just perfect, Robert. I wonder how many "dead" threads will be brought back to life to haunt us... :)

Lol Foxxy, audioscrobbler's not even live anymore I don't think, been replaced by last.fm methinks, still a good show of power though. Cheers, Dim/Smooth <-New Profile ;)

Audioscrobbler is alive and well - it's the name of the plug-in and the data harvesting service. It's been branded as Last FM due to the radio station service they provide, although I don't think either name says much about what they both offer and how cool the service is.
