HOW to get the medievil ship (now with screens)

you need to attain a rank of veteran to get it, by gaining 70 gold medals but you can only do one gold per course per class so you cant just race the easy speed over and over to get. so after much digging i found it for anyone who wanted to know.

I'm more curious to know what the hell the medievil ship is, and what it looks like. Is it like a giant mace with wings? Instead of a helmet, the pilot wears a chastity belt...

I dont like it, it doesnot look 'wipeout' at all. It might shift like **** off a shovel, but it just doesnt have it as far as cool looking AG craft go.

WOHOHOOOW!! Well, don't know about the others, but I freakn' love it!! It reminds me of the Wipeout art drawings in Wipeout Fusion's art gallery. I personally adore the design!! :P Hmm, now just to get the PSP and game. :lol: :oops:

The design is okay, not really WipEout. The colorjob is baaad. Dont like this emblem andf the red cockpit. Other will love it (I'm sure) but I don't like it.
It looks more like a cheat-ship. Not like a ship that's normal at the track.
The Zone ship is differnet. Okay, it's white (no normally colorjob) but the design is wipeout.
This ship looks like it is the ship at the track, it looks like cheating - it looks unfair.
But this is just my opinion...

I don't mind it as a novelty ship but I can't help feeling that there were probably more deserving craft ideas that could have filled that space - like maybe a classic Feisar with dual engines or something.

It is not the first time - or the last - that wipeout has tied in with another game, but this has usually been done through advertising (krazy ivan, g-police, tif2004).
I ask you, the patrons of the 'zone, what's next? A pilot-able red bull can with wings?

A very different looking craft, and therein lies the dilemma. I cant decide if I dont like it because it is different or just plain ugly.

It had better have good stats because that will be the only reason for me to want to use it other than my beloved triakis.

4 speed 4 thrust 5 handling and 1 shield i believe, basicly its the zone ship tuned down a smidge.

well the zone is a slighty better craft so you could use that one and not touch the medievil ship, and the zone is easier to get...

Wicked is definitely a word I would use to describe this ship. I wish the stats reflected the type of ship something called medieval (sorry, "medievil") might suggest. Something closer to Triakis is what I'm thinking (slow accel, durable). Like when you unlock the Dark Schneider in F-Zero GX (similarly purple and evil, hmmm).

Zone ship kicks ass!! It has far more better design than Medievil ship (duh!). In fact i'd say it has the best design in pure - i like it a LOT! If painted purple and given a big 'Q' logo, it'd be highly probable, i started to praise Qirex. (very 2097 style, gr8 one!)

Shem we seem to have similar tastes in a lot of stuff! :D, from the Pure ships the Zone ship is the one i like the most so far, but i dont like its airbrakes, i would have liked them more if they were an integrated part of the structure instead of an added element; I also like the Quirex design.

Thanks for the Zone pics. Zone looks like a sweet little number and your pics now have a place in my little library of Wipeout craft reference pics I'm trying to compile for modeling and things to that effect. :D

Now if only I could find some decent F-3500 and 5000 pics.

Exactly, i think that only this element of the craft is the one that needs change. I'd put them right on the rear end, copying Goteki 45 stye (i thought the airbrakes were the best part of Goteki 45). But if to invent something new, id place them in the indented part of the rear end, behind the cockpit, on the sides of the engines, vertically. That's it from me.

I'm determined enough to make a detailed render of one of Wipeout's ships (i was thinking of a RED Qirex, or maybe Feisar F-3600 League model, or maybe Arial Tetsuo's Auricom (Red and White), what software do you recommend to make such models?

yeah, that's me - thousands of things to do, and no time for anything. yeah, but i've got this one trial software to get the idea of making vortex models, and as far as my 5 min education on making these models lasted, i was able to make the font end of a basic AG craft. the problems start with the rest of the craft not to mention the ANY of the internal parts like seat, and ther east of the cockpit equipment. there's a lot of things to learn and not much time. but hell, i said that i'm determined, didn't i? :wink:

I'm afraid that I don't have any software recommendations to share. Basically, when I said "modeling," I meant more along the lines of actual physical models using LEGOs, hard cardboard, plastics and the like. However, I can forward you to a couple of forums that would be able to help you out nicely. Go to either of the following:

The people there should be able to promptly give some recommendations and pointers about 3D computer modeling, modeling software, and so forth. I hope that helps!

the product designers at my university are using 3DstudioMAX for 3D rendering. it's a pretty easy-to-use program, although I never really got into trying it out a lot. but it should do well for rendering w'o'' models.
