edit by Lance: directly displayed images were converted to url links only
[note to all members who wish to post images:
DIRECT POSTING OF A SINGLE IMAGE LARGER THAN 50 Kb IS NOT ALLOWED. POST THEM ONLY AS LINKS.
DIRECT POSTING OF A SERIES OF IMAGES TOTALLING MORE THAN 50 Kb IS NOT ALLOWED. POST THEM ONLY AS LINKS.
these two pics totalled 239 Kb; that is not acceptable in these forums.
READ THE GUIDELINES, READ THE FAQ, READ THE POSTS and the edit commentary
i just corrected another such post with directly displayed images instead of links a few hours ago. if you are a reader of these forums, there is no excuse for you not to know these things because they have been mentioned over and over again in the past several months.
there are people here, including me, who only have dial-up. some of those do not use a browser that allows easy blocking of image loading. it is not fair to them to overload their bandwidth. nor is it good to destroy the design and easy readability of the forum pages by the distortion of overlarge images.]
and a personal note on my own behalf, the people who keep not reading the guidelines before posting are really beginning to piss me off. this may possibly be detectable in the previous editorial comments. :)
