Just for fun, I searched eBay for neGcons. Found two:

One in Germany (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=12016&item=8132566249&rd=1&ssPageName=WD2V), used, currently at 1,99 euros.

One in Switzerland (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22974&item=8133326000&rd=1&ssPageName=WD2V), new and boxed, currently at 15 euros.

Both auctions close on the 27th. At prices like this you just gotta go for it! I've already got my own, so I won't be bidding (thanks again, Infoxx :D )

Yes, but did you find your ex-wife's pen (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3837676332&category=61784&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:1) for sale?

Thankfully I already have a NeGcon. They're worth it.

I've been meaning to get more involved again... I got laid off and was unemployed for close to five months this year. :( You'd think that would give me lots of time to polish my records, but it mostly led to me spending my non-job-searching time laying on my couch being depressed. Now I'm finally working again, but it's a crap low-paying job that I hate (I actually liked my old job), which has led to me spending my free time laying on my couch being depressed. :wink:

I've only just recently with Burnout 3 begun playing any games at all again. Hopefully I'll hook up the PS again soon, but it'll probably take me a while to get back to form.

it's been slow in NTSC lately, as it was back when i first came here. but later we were the most active area of the tables in WO3 NTSC. in WOXL, where i've been spending my time, i have some competition from stevie [stindah] from PAL land on his NTSC console, and have had some racing against Ben matching his 2097 times against my XL times, but in both cases only in a few tracks and speed classes. you and Jay and George have all been inactive. it's making me look better than i am in the non-Piranha league. even if i may have actually gotten better, somebody should still be making me prove it!

yes, i know that in the meantime i should go back to the WO3 tables and see if i can improve on those pitiful times i have there. somehow my enthusiasm is currently attached to XL, though

hey i'm just curious, what's the big deal with these negcons? I've seen the controls in the w3o booklet but never thought anything much of them. Are they anything particularly special? Is there any point in me buying one? sorry for all the questions ;)

Yes, there is! (Note to moderators: Do we need a neGcon F.A.Q.? Yes! ;) )

Dimension, have a look at this thread: http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1548&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0. Half way down the first page are a few comments on the neG, which should answer your question. There are actually many threads in the forums, but in essence and as far as I can remember they all state the same.

Whoops, sorry if I sounded like "Look at what's there before asking!" I know one cannot read through _everything_ when there is a question. Glad I could help, though.

Thats like asking if there's anything special to a Mercedes :P ,I had a NeGcon at one time and it made playing Wipeout all the more fun,my times were nothing comparable with a standard controller,I'd buy one again if I could find the darn things ,but alas,no stores around here sell them anymore,they used to sell them at babages,but they don't now for some reason.

interesting article ; Review here---->>> http://www.netjak.com/Reviews/vintage/neg.htm,
personally,I don't know what the guys talking about,maybe he did'nt have the controller calibrated correctly :?
