Can you beat the Dev? WipEout HD XDev and EPOS Time Trial Challenge

XDev and EPOS have put together a time trial challenge for the WipEout VR launch. Though you don't have to play in VR to take part.

The challenge is split into three parts, HD, Fury and 2048.

The first challenge is currently underway here:

The developer times have been beaten by one person so far. But I have feeling those times may be beaten again!

What do they mean by winning a 'Flair' ?

The flair is the tiny logo next to your username when you post a message. It’s different on every subreddit and the ones on offer are decided by the mods. In this comp, you can "win" a unique flair.

So Reddit specific.....if you are not on Reddit, it means nothing, is the only conclusion I can come to.

Well, a flair is never worth anything. A bit like an avatar on here. They are from a fixed set, so you can't pick you own. So it's a little bit novel to have a different one. You'll see people around r/WipEout (https://www.reddit.com/r/WipeOut/) who have medals next to their names for various tournaments we've had in the past, like a badge of honour.

Sure, if you're not a redditor it doesn't mean much. But I hope a new challenge is fun, just for the love of racing.

I'm so glad you had fun Cipher, I think I can guess who you are over there :D No rust showing whatsoever!

It's nice that systeminspired has some competition, I think he will enjoy that. He often took the top spot in our friendly tournaments. Thank you for playing :)

There is plenty of rust in there haha, only did 1 per track (with 2-3 restarts each), would've gone for longer but it's not my PS4 ;-)

Hehe, thx for the update, good to see quite a few people took part, and some got really close as well! :)
I'll see if I can snag the PS4 again this week to take part in the fury challenge, had a lot of fun doing these TTs and the fury ones are some of my fav ^^
